🌍 IMMO25 – Insights from the Biggest Real Estate Fair in Zurich Last week, I had the pleasure of attending IMMO25, one of the most important events in the real estate industry in Switzerland. It was two days full of inspiring lectures, innovative solutions, and exchanging experiences with industry leaders. The event provided me with a valuable opportunity to explore key trends shaping the future of real estate: from sustainable development to dynamic technological changes. 💡 What would I like to share? Here are three key takeaways from the event: 1️⃣ Sustainable Development: Not an Option, but a Necessity Ecology and adherence to ESG (Environmental, Social, Governance) principles are becoming the standard. Investments in green technologies – from energy-efficient systems to electromobility – are essential to increasing the value of real estate. This is also the direction we are pursuing in our application, supporting space optimization and the adoption of eco-friendly solutions. 2️⃣ Technology: The Driving Force of Change PropTech is playing a crucial role today. Digitalization, automation, and real-time data analysis help manage properties efficiently and better respond to market needs. In our work, we see how data integration and an adaptable approach to client needs can reshape property management. 3️⃣ Flexibility as the New Standard The real estate market must keep up with evolving customer expectations and regulatory changes. Flexible spaces and solutions for shared mobility are becoming the norm. This challenge inspires us to create tools that help property managers quickly adapt to changes. 🚀 Summary? IMMO25 confirms that the future of real estate is built on the synergy of technology, sustainability, and flexibility. I believe our solutions can play an essential role in this transformation. A big thank you to the organizers for such an inspiring event! 🙌 I invite you all to join the discussion – how do you think the future of real estate is changing? "The biggest challenge in historic renovations is the unknown. When opening up a 100-year-old building, there are always things that show up that no one could have ever imagined. Adaptive reuse projects ... are some of the most interesting and complex projects to work on," says DLR Group Global Hospitality Leader Ed Wilms, AIA. Here's a short video on #adaptivereuse.

When a historic museum moved to a new home, sustainability and reliability were their top priorities 🌟 The project required a heating system with exceptional heat-loss properties, no joints to avoid leaks and guaranteed long-term performance under a concrete floor. RAUTHERMEX PLUS was the perfect fit - offering thicker insulation, superior efficiency and easy installation with bendable pipework,. This joint effort with Mibec successfully balanced heritage preservation with modern sustainability and is a great example of innovation in action 👇 https://lnkd.in/eHK43sAx #CaseStudy #HeritageBuilding #EfficientHeating

🏗️ Stuttgart Region: a large-scale laboratory for urban development! Through the Internationale Bauausstellung 2027 StadtRegion Stuttgart (IBA’27), Stuttgart is on a mission to redefine itself as a sustainable city region with an urban lifestyle. IBA’27 sets bold ambitions to show how industrially shaped cities can transition toward a circular and resilient urban future. One of IBA’27’s key strategies is urban mining—recovering and reusing materials already embedded in the city. Together with IBA’27, we analyzed material flows through 10 projects across construction, renovation, and demolition. Our findings: ✅ We provided insights into the impact of construction, renovation, and demolition activities. ✅ Highlighted the potential impact reduction achievable through urban mining practices. ✅ Demonstrated the advantages of reusing materials for new construction projects, including: eliminating the need for lengthy supply chains, and enhancing the city’s resilience by utilizing existing resources. Our work helped IBA’27 to set realistic urban mining goals for ten flagship projects. These findings raised awareness of urban mining practices, engaged regional partners, and supported the development of circular construction infrastructure. We’re excited for their 2027 exhibition, when visitors will see the untapped potential of reusing materials to transform and renew the region, towards a more sustainable and circular future. 🔗 𝗖𝘂𝗿𝗶𝗼𝘂𝘀 𝘁𝗼 𝗹𝗲𝗮𝗿𝗻 𝗺𝗼𝗿𝗲? How can construction that adopts sustainable practices enhance property value and reduce operational costs? 🤔 This is one of the topics we are looking forward to discussing at this year’s #MIPIM festival in Cannes – the world’s leading real estate event. “I expect to discuss ESG-initiatives this year, which are completely transforming our approach to sustainability practices in construction. Moreover, I’m really eager to expand and nurture my network to foster closer ties across the global building industry,” says Business Development Director Mark Howell, who is participating alongside his colleague and fellow Business Development Director Martin Lange. MIPIM influences and accelerates the transformation of the built environment by crafting a unique, week-long urban festival in Cannes. Through personal meetings, workshops, and panel discussions, the conference offers inspiration for leaders in the building industry from all over the world. 🌍 “I am keen to gain insights into the latest market trends on a global scale and learn more about innovative technologies. Personally, I hope to get a better understanding of how sustainable practices can enhance property values and reduce operational costs. As such, I really aim to be inspired by current and future opportunities that can align sustainability with profitable investments,” says Martin Lange. The MIPIM festival takes place from the 11th – 14th of March 2025 in Cannes. If you wish to schedule a meeting with us, please don’t hesitate to contact Mark Howell or Martin Lange directly.
