This might be surprising to hear, since I’m a recruiter specifically focused on finding external candidates for companies that need to hire. But after 15+ years in this business, I’ve learned that smart hiring begins from within. If and when you can’t find the right candidates within your internal marketplace, that’s when you should turn to an outside recruiter like myself. Skills are radically important to any role, and no one knows the required skills for a role better than the right internal employee. That said, the right person simply doesn’t always exist. That’s when you reach out.

There's no denying that finding, attracting, and securing top talent is a monumental task. But it needn't feel like you're pushing a boulder up a hill.
