Some people say that fairs - especially wine fairs - are a concept of the past. I don´t think so: fairs will be necessary also in the future. First of all because they bring together a huge amount of wine producers from many countries and this has a value. The wine fair offers a platform where many traders, buyers, but also sommeliers, wine experts, restaurant owners, etc etc have the possibility to develop their knowledge, discover new wines and can meet the producers: there is no other place. And, if you are starting a wine business there is no better way to learn ore about wine than to visit a fair. #Prowein is the most important fair in Europe for this aspect. It is good to notice that Prowein is adapting the size and the concept of the fair to new developments. It had become too large. And let´s hope that the trains and transport companies will not strike again next year (like they did in March 2024!)! #fair #prowein #winefair #concept #paulbalke

Her aim was to push ahead with the planning and discussion of ProWein 2025 and to maintain an intensive dialogue with the winemakers from Portugal. The Portuguese joint stand at this year's ProWein was also a complete success and gave visitors the feeling of being on a trip to Portugal. 𝐒𝐔𝐂𝐂𝐄𝐒𝐒 𝐂𝐎𝐍𝐓𝐈𝐍𝐔𝐄𝐒 𝐅𝐎𝐑 𝐕𝐈𝐍𝐄𝐗𝐏𝐎 𝐖𝐈𝐍𝐄 𝐏𝐀𝐑𝐈𝐒 2023, a decidedly complex year for the wine market, is not yet over, and companies and trade fair players are already looking towards a 2024 which everyone hopes will be a full relaunch. Kicking off the big fairs will be 𝐖𝐢𝐧𝐞 𝐏𝐚𝐫𝐢𝐬 & 𝐕𝐢𝐧𝐞𝐱𝐩𝐨 𝐏𝐚𝐫𝐢𝐬, edition no. 5, on stage from 12 to 14 February at Paris Expo Porte de Versailles, with the flagship show of the Vinexposium group. The French fair is 𝐜𝐥𝐢𝐦𝐛𝐢𝐧𝐠 𝐭𝐨 𝐭𝐡𝐞 𝐭𝐨𝐩 and is increasingly establishing itself internationally as one of the great reference fairs for the wine scene. Why Ventoux will become one of the great appellations of the Southern Rhône Le Ventoux, a land of the future? Emmanuel Perrin Boasting the coolest climate in the south of the Rhône Valley and preserved landscapes, the Ventoux vineyard is popular. In recent years, the establishment of ambitious winegrowers and the rise of white wines have been the talk of the town. In the Ventoux appellation, in just 4 years, the production of white wines has increased by more than a third of its initial volumes. And more than 12% of this 5,500 hectare vineyard is already planted with white grape varieties. It must be said that the combination of limestone terroir and cool climate favors the production of a color that many vineyards in the southern zone envy in Ventoux. “Benefiting from this freshness and such thermal amplitudes, due to the proximity of Mont Ventoux, allows us to have more sparkling whites and with better acidity. In addition, our ampelographic richness, with the Grenache Blanc, Clairette but also Roussanne, Viognier, Vermentino, Bourboulenc, etc. grape varieties, constitutes a formidable toolbox for creating wide ranges in a territory that lends itself to it,” explains Frédéric. #wineparisvinexpo a few thoughts about the fair. 1- the location is perfect compared to the other big wine events. Prowein specifically, being a great place, is catastrophic for all other aspects. In Paris, accommodation is perfect, easy and cheap in comparison. The transportation is easy and efficient. The fair doesn’t impact in any way the usual business of the city. As opposed to Prowein, which overwhelms every aspects of the city. 2- the organisation of the pavillons is getting better, even though I noticed some issue in advertising the Austrian and German winemakers for example. 3- the scanning of entry pass and the cloakroom need improvement. The personal was not always very kind and that is an issue. 4- the website is a pain and the app has huge shortcomings (like impossible to find the location of an exhibitor in the app). And not possible to read the messages (as far as I have checked). 5- more cooperation could be done to promote the gastronomy. We still lack food trucks of a bit fancier food counters (though Paul is quite acceptable). I still think the Mac Donald’s located within the Expo Parc is a shame. Overall the fair was a success, I hope it develops further and stay where it is located. See you soon Wine Paris.

This regulation ensures that the traditional French bread culture is preserved. 🥖 Different time zones: France has overseas territories in the Caribbean and the Pacific Ocean that belong to different time zones. For example French Polynesia has a time zone that is 10 hours ahead of Paris time. ⏱ Poland 🇵🇱: Pierogi power: Poland is the land of pierogi - delicious dumplings filled with everything from potatoes to sweet fruit. There are so many variations that you could eat a different type of pierogi almost every day and never get tired of them (or maybe you would, but it would be a delicious tiredness). 🥟 Vodka variety: Poland takes great pride in its rich tradition of vodka production. With a wide array of types and brands available, Polish vodka caters to various tastes and occasions – from festive celebrations like weddings to everyday moments. 🍸 Salt Mine spectacular: Poland is home to one of the oldest salt mines in the world, the Wieliczka Salt Mine.
