It was great to visit Argonne National Laboratory recently to see the progress that’s been made in creating a molten salt loop for testing and validation of our coolant salt! It’s one of the largest chloride salt loops in the world – we’ll be using it to model how fuel assemblies in the Moltex Energy SSR-W reactor will function under different operating and accident conditions, as well as gathering data on heat transfer, corrosion and the salt’s behaviour.
