**Repeat after me:** **Remote is a work location, not a job. Remote is a work location, not a job. Remote is a work location, not a job... Let's say this 50 more times.** Please stop messaging me about “remote work” in a way that doesn’t help either of us. Instead, I’d appreciate if you could reach out with something like this: “Hi Nathanael, (just a quick note—please spell my name correctly; it’s Nathanael, not Nathaniel). I’ve explored your organization’s job board and have applied for the following role: [insert job title/req number]. Could you share insights about the organization, such as benefits, culture, and the hiring process?” If we don’t currently have the ideal role for you, consider reaching out with: “Hi Nathanael, I’m an experienced [insert your profession] looking for my next opportunity. I’ve reviewed your job board and noticed there aren’t any openings that align with my skills right now. Do you know of any upcoming roles that align with that field or know anyone who may have one? Let’s make our conversations more productive. #recruiterinsights #LinkedInmessages #thisnotthat
I'm confused, what does remote work have to do with cold emailing recruiters?
lol you just triggered me with spelling your name right. I HATEEE when people misspell names in email. Like bro, the thing is written right there whether we are on Linkedin or Email.
"I'm searching for remote work" 🫠🙃😵💫
As a member who is struggling to connect with recruiters, thank you for this and for providing examples.
Excellent templates here Nathanael Young LVN, MSHRM , thanks for sharing them.
I love that you gave verbiage to use. This is greatly helpful to candidates with addressing this in the right way
As an Abbey, the spelling the name right is so crucial! Especially if you’re asking for help!
The name spelling thing is REAL! However, I’ll say that I’ve also been known to spell my own name incorrectly. Not as “Hanna” but I go all in with the Ns and end up Hannnah hahah
