Knowing Qazaq Air since day 1, I am curious if KZ Govt has made a deep and fair analysis why the first attempt (announced some years ago) failed. Was it caused by weak market position of Qazaq Air or lack of trust that regulations are enough stable and predictable? What is the priority - to cover old debts or to develop the airline and to open new jobs? Shall it continue with fleet of Q400 only or they need to move to +100seat jets? If the current geopolitical situation is in favor or it complicates the privatization of such airline? So many questions which need open and honest answers.

↗️ Advancing on the development of #GAPPRI Volume II to tackle runway incursions - among the most persistent threats to #aviation safety ✈️. #GAPPRI is the Global Action Plan for the Prevention of Runway Incursions - a roadmap for addressing risk & instilling resilience, enabling government & industry not only to cope with increases in traffic, but also to be proactive in anticipating & addressing problems. Work on GAPPRI is jointly coordinated by the Flight Safety Foundation and EUROCONTROL in coordination with ICAO, CANSO, ACI and IATA - all collaborating closely together to reduce the risk of runway incursions through a collaborative approach involving #aircraft operators #ANSPs air navigation service providers #airports & #regulators. Last week DHMI, the Turkish 🇹🇷 ANSP, hosted 80 aviation safety experts in Istanbul to advance the development of GAPPRI Volume II, which contains guidance, explanatory materials & best practices. Today at Airspace World 2024 in #Geneva the #A6Alliance Steering Board took place. We discussed #ATM Master Plan update campaign, #SESAR post 2027 strategy and relations with EUROCONTROL/NM plus preparations for summer season 2024. The last point is one of the most important topics this year. The goal is to ensure that #Europe’s aviation network performs as efficiently and sustainably as possible. The Aviation branch of the Hellenic Institute of Transport (HIT), Center for Research and Technology Hellas (CERTH) is being established at Lydia Airport. HIT/CERTH is launching its Aviation Branch at the facilities of the newly constructed Lydia Airport, developed by Egnatia Aviation with a budget of 14 million euros. The airport is situated on the site of the former military airport of Amygdaleonas, approximately 5 km from Kavala. Our Aviation Branch will be operational in three months, ready to accommodate its first employees and facilities. This new addition significantly enhances the research capabilities and laboratory infrastructure of HIT/CERTH. The Aviation Branch's strategic partnership with Lydia Airport and Egnatia Aviation focuses on collaborative research and training activities in aviation and flight safety.
