California has become the first state in the country to pass a law mandating workplace violence prevention plans, employee training, and maintaining a violent incident log. The training mandate includes circumstances that require ongoing/additional training. While this might seem unimportant for those living and working outside of California, this is significant; California is often the first to act and is viewed as a bellwether for other states, who adopt similar legislation.
