Nice Nick - I always think the key is also both parties understanding what they want and what that means for the other party!

2moThe biggest misconception is the terminology around nominations. We often work for clients in PBSA where the marketing team have been told not to actively market a building because ‘it’s nominated.’ Fast forward to July and turns out it was a referral agreement, or only part nominated or there’s a clause to release rooms if the uni don’t have enough students late in the day. It’s so important these contracts are scrutinized and the only reason not to market a building is if the uni has 100% financial accountability with no caveats. Otherwise that building needs a marketing budget and resource.
