Think: Giveaways of Chocolate Protein Powder one day and a "BOGO 50" deal for Coconut Almond protein bars the next. Historically, nutrition brands aren't top-of-mind for many consumers around the holidays, so it's been a fun challenge for our team to think through a campaign that's seasonally relevant, drives social engagement and keeps our most loyal consumers in-the-know with deals on some of their favorite No Cow products 💚 Follow along on Instagram (@nocow) or join our VIP email list on nocow.com to find out which deals are happening next! #12daysofdeals #plantbasedprotein #socialmediamarketing #emailmarketing #holidaymarketing

Anti-Diet Movement: Marketing Ploy or Healthier Relationship with Food? The anti-diet movement started in the 1960s as a way to fight weight stigma. Major food companies now are distorting the message, with General Mills taking the message a step further by making the case “that putting on food packages if a product is high in sugar or fat or another unhealthy ingredient was food-shaming consumers, and therefore it needed to be opposed.” The result, grocery retailers giving more prominent shelf space to full-fat, indulgent versions of foods at the expense of healthier options. #sustainability #foodsystems #diet #antidiet #indulgent #healthandwellbeing https://lnkd.in/ebJkd4Ri

Focus on PROTEINS in beverages and other food. This trend is reinforced by more marked changes among Canadians since the pandemic: searching for wellness through nutrition, physical exercises, increasing consciousness on the positive impact of reducing meat consumption for health and environmental reasons, etc. There are numerous examples of products highlighting protein content. Here are 2: Danone's Oikos yogurt with 17g of protein and the protein line beverage REBBL Inc. with tempting flavors like strawberries and cream. Looking for inspiration? As a wise food shopper, read the food labels and understand that: 1. Terms like “sugar free” ,“fat free”, ” high protein ” ,“gut friendly ”, “digestive ” , goodness of fruit” , “promotes height” , “boosts immunity” etc are just marketing techniques and have nothing to do with the product. 2. Healthiest items in the grocery store has no claims and ingredient lists. 3. Foods marked as organic are not organic 95/100 times. 4. The nutrition facts panel never gives the real nutrition information. 5. Dont fall for discounts, deals and offers on packaged processed food. 6. Don’t get attracted by celebrity images on the food packets.
