Just returned from an exhilarating experience at Mining Indaba 2024 and I am excited to share insights and thoughts from the #MI24 where industry leaders convened to discuss the future of mining across Africa. The overarching theme of the conference revolved around the power of partnerships and collaboration in driving sustainable growth in the sector through positive technological disruptions. One key takeaway from the event was the emphasis on embracing technology, fostering meaningful partnerships between all relevant stakeholders, from government bodies to local communities and private enterprises operating across the very rich mining value chain. By working together, we can create a more conducive environment for responsible mining practices while ensuring mutual benefit for all involved. Tanzania's showcase proved to the world yet again, that it has so much potential to attract significant mining investments. With our rich mineral resources and a burgeoning market, Tanzania stands poised for increased investment and positive disruptions in the mining sector. The discussions were filled with hope and optimism for the future, highlighting the immense opportunities that lie ahead. Job well done by the our very own - The Permanent Secretary of the Ministry of Minerals Kheri Mahimbali and the Deputy Minister for Minerals Hon. Dr. #StevenLKiruswa The Ministry of Minerals of Tanzania Tanzania Geological Society Tanzania Chamber of Mines (TCM) and all the 80+ participants from both private and public sector connected with the mining in Tanzania. As we reflect on the insights gained at Mining Indaba, it is evident that collaboration and innovation will be key drivers of success in the African mining industry. I am excited to see how these discussions translate into tangible actions and investments, propelling Tanzania and the continent as a whole towards a more prosperous future. On a more personal note, it was exciting to connect with 29 other future leaders (including my sister from the motherland Mecktilder M. M) recognized by the organizers of the conference Investing in African Mining Indaba University of Cape Town Zeinab El-Sayed T.B. Mlilo as shaping the future of mining in the continent. Walking on the main stage and exchange a few words with South African President Cyril Ramaphosa was indeed and incredible experience without forgetting access to the prestigious #angloamerican gala dinner. Let us continue to work together towards sustainable development and responsible mining practices, shaping a brighter tomorrow for generations to come! #MiningIndaba #Partnerships #Investment #Innovation #TanzaniaMining #Collaboration
