Product Intern @Adobe’23 | 4M+ impressions | Web development Manager at The E-Cell, VNIT | GSSOC'22 | EEE VNIT
creating my own space became a lifeline Moving to a different city has been less exciting and more uncertain. In the adjusting phase, the only thing I could count on was my room. I think of it as my storybook that tells who I am. I believe in creating a space that sets my mood with favorite posters, green vines, and fairy lights (yes, I carried that to bglr for my internship) But it's not just about aesthetics, it's about creating a space that speaks to your soul. Your room becomes a reflection of your personality, values, and dreams, serving as a constant reminder of who you are and where you're headed. So, as you unpack your stuff for a new life, remember the importance of decorating your space. It's more than just arranging furniture and hanging up pictures, it's about creating a space that feels like home, no matter where you are in the world. PS: I lived in a triple-sharing room and the smile I saw on their faces was such a beautiful sight! #dream #internship #createyourstory #softwareengineering #coding

I work with my dad on construction and I set up cabinets, adding shelf pins, white caps, bumper pads, and setting up crowns and calking them. I wish to own my own installation company and have employees work under me.
https://lnkd.in/e_h_aHCy The link above is the site that I posted at the beginning of my internship to show everyone the ins and outs of what I do. 2 of the points that I chose from this site are about "Measuring for accuracy" and "Planning, scheduling and communication” back then. The site emphasizes the importance of measuring for accuracy and planning, scheduling, and communication in the construction process. Accuracy is crucial as it ensures that cabinets and shelves fit within their designated spaces. Planning, scheduling, and communication are also crucial as mistakes can lead to wasted time and effort. For instance, if cabinets and shelves are incorrectly chosen, the process can be time-consuming and wasteful, resulting in wasted time and effort. Therefore, it is essential to prioritize these aspects in the construction process. #alpineinternships #mountainlandcte Alpine School District

Delivery Manager - Strategic Hub Lead for WMCA Careers Hubs at West Midlands Combined Authority - Connecting Business with Education across the West Midlands
Great school or college competition to be involved in! Internships on offer! Property Needs You Challenge - https://lnkd.in/eJcwF8un Property Needs You is a collaboration of the 12 real estate consultancies, whose aim is to inspire, educate and encourage talent into property careers. The challenge asks young people - aged 13-21 - to submit design ideas for a local space in their town, city, school or neighbourhood that would benefit from a makeover and design thinking. All types of spaces – including buildings, parks, schools, streets and stations – can become the focus of the design with entrants able to portray their vision in a variety of formats, from sketches to mood boards, virtual creations to 3D models. As part of the application, entrants are asked why they chose the particular space to redesign, and for their vision of what the space could become. Alongside the 5 internships on offer to winners aged 16 and above, 3 runner up prizes include school/college workshops. The firms backing the challenge are: Allsop LLP, Avison Young, BNP Paribas Real Estate, Carter Jonas. CBRE, Colliers, Cushman & Wakefield, Gerald Eve, JLL, Knight Frank, Lambert Smith Hampton, Savills Hebe Williams, Graduate Recruitment Manager at Savills, said: “The idea behind the challenge is to encourage young people to think creatively about their local environment, and a particular space they’ve chosen to redesign, thinking about the potential of the space. In particular, thinking about what it could do and who could use it, and the impact that could have on their life and the lives of others. “Young people are responsible for the built environment of the future, from where we live to where we go to school, work and play. The challenge is a chance for entrants to really consider the role they could play in positively influencing the built environment, local communities and ultimately, people’s lives. And of course, the 5 internships on offer will give winners the chance to gain valuable work experience with one of the world’s top property firms.” The challenge closes on the 17th December 2023 and can be entered at: https://lnkd.in/eh9uBuw9. 🌳Ross Musgrove🌳 West Midlands Combined Authority The Careers & Enterprise Company

Designing customizable futures in Design-Build, with solid foundations through our Internship and Level-up programs.
I'm grateful to Ancon Construction Company for a great internship experience this summer. Ancon is a design-build commercial construction company with a diverse portfolio of projects. I had the privilege to work with an Architect and Designers as a part of Ancon's design division this summer; the Ancon team provided me with great mentorship, skills, and lasting relationships.

Please welcome our summer interns, Jennifer Colebrook and Ansley Boutwell. Jennifer joins us from Virginia Tech and Ansley joins us from Georgia Institute of Technology. Per Nequette tradition, we always ask each new team member to answer a few questions to get to know them a little better. Here goes… 1. If anyone could play you in your life movie which actor would you choose? J: Anne Hathaway A: Reese Witherspoon or Kristen Bell 2. What are you looking forward to the most about interning at Nequette? J: I am most looking forward to learning how to capture a project’s identity through prioritizing the project’s key values and upholding the standard of timeless beauty while working in a timely and efficient manner. A: I am most looking forward to the opportunity to grow as a designer with an amazing and very welcoming group of people. 3. What is one book you could read on repeat? J: Ecclesiastes, the Hebrew book of wisdom. It succinctly captures sober themes of life, existence, and purpose. It’s a short book, but there’s profound meaning that seeps through the pages every time I read it. A: Dune by Frank Herbert 4. You only get to listen to one song for the rest of your life. What would it be? J: Piano Concerto in A Minor, Op. 16: II. Adagio A: Something in the Orange by Zach Bryan 5. What’s your go-to coffee/tea/etc. order? J: My go-to drink is milk. And I can never go wrong with chocolate milk. I especially drink it at the end of the day – it's like dessert for me. A: Chai latte 6. What would be your dream project to design? J: Residential has always captured my attention, but I think no matter the program, the right client can enhance the project. My dream project would be one where the client clearly states their priorities and constraints while allowing flexibility and design freedom to best capture their values. Ultimately, the project in which the client feels their designed space has exceeded their expectations will be the most gratifying. A: Mid-century modern house with a lot of plants 7. What’s your #1 bucket list vacation spot, and why? J: It’s a tie between Greece and Scotland: Greece because of the architecture, culture, and water. Scotland because of lush nature, castles, and Scottish accents. A: My #1 bucket list vacation spot has to be New Zealand. I love long distance backpacking trips and, though I'm not sure exactly what hike I would do, New Zealand seems like an ideal place to see some pretty breathtaking landscapes. And it doesn't hurt that it was in Lord of the Rings. Thank you both for playing along! We are happy you two are interning with Nequette this summer.

I had an incredible internship experience at Equity Residential! While interning at The Clarendon, and The Reserve at Clarendon Center, I gained invaluable knowledge and skills in property management, including using property management software, managing tenant relations, overseeing building maintenance, and gaining insights into budgeting and finances. I'm particularly proud of conducting a competitor analysis, which helped me develop strong research and analytical skills and provided valuable insights into market trends. I also enjoyed learning more about residential and retail properties. I'm looking forward to applying what I've learned in my future career!
