As the energy transition continues to gain steam, we're going to see a "scrap revolution", writes the WEF. We can't rely on mining for much longer. Instead, we'll have to set up a new supply chain of recycled metals from batteries, electric vehicles, and other products. For every ton of aluminium we recycle, we reduce the need for mining and refining—lowering emissions and minimizing the environmental footprint of a material critical to modern life.
