Earlier today, at the UN Global Network Tanzania 5th Pre AGM symposium themed 'Forwad Faster for SDGs', the primary focus was on deliberating crucial strategies and necessary steps for businesses to embed sustainability deeply within their core operations. Throughout the discussions, the consensus was that sustainability isn't short-term objective but a long term agenda that demands ongoing commitment. Serengeti Breweries (SBL), perceives sustainability as not just a vehicle for business growth but also a solemn pledge to the planet's well-being. This is in line with Diageo commitment as documented in our Society 2030 - Spirit of Progress agenda. As part of todays proceedings, SBL formally solidified its dedication to sustainability by signing a partnership agreement with the United Nations Global Compact Network Tanzania (UNGCTN). Antibiotice obtained 𝗚𝗼𝗹𝗱 𝗟𝗲𝘃𝗲𝗹 𝗥𝗲𝗰𝗼𝗴𝗻𝗶𝘁𝗶𝗼𝗻 in the 𝗥𝗼𝗺𝗮𝗻𝗶𝗮 𝗖𝗦𝗧 𝗜𝗻𝗱𝗲𝘅 𝗥𝗮𝗻𝗸𝗶𝗻𝗴, the highest sustainability ranking in our country. The event took place at the 𝗕𝗲𝘀𝘁 𝗣𝗿𝗮𝗰𝘁𝗶𝗰𝗲𝘀 𝗶𝗻 𝗖𝗼𝗿𝗽𝗼𝗿𝗮𝘁𝗲 𝗦𝘂𝘀𝘁𝗮𝗶𝗻𝗮𝗯𝗶𝗹𝗶𝘁𝘆 𝗰𝗼𝗻𝗳𝗲𝗿𝗲𝗻𝗰𝗲, organized by The Azores – Sustainability & CSR Services. The 𝗥𝗼𝗺𝗮𝗻𝗶𝗮 𝗖𝗦𝗧 𝗜𝗻𝗱𝗲𝘅 𝗥𝗮𝗻𝗸𝗶𝗻𝗴 ranking was made following the analysis of the sustainability reports of the big companies in Romania, with at least 500 employees, related to 2022. The reports were assessed on the basis of a score table with 11 categories, 78 sustainability indicators and 201 datapoints. On behalf of the organizers, we invite you or your representative to participate in the ASEAN Blue Innovation Challenge (ABIC): Socialization and Ideation Workshop, a collaborative event organized by UNDP Thailand and UNDP Indonesia. ABIC stands as a regional initiative integral to the ‘ASEAN Blue Economy Innovation Project, endorsed by the ASEAN Coordinating Committee on Micro, Small, and Medium Enterprises, with generous support from the Government of Japan and UNDP. The ABIC is currently open for applications until 30 June 2024, seeking to identify 60 pioneering innovations and solutions from ASEAN countries and Timor-Leste, focusing on climate issues, marine plastic pollution, sustainable fisheries, and sustainable tourism. Each selected innovator will receive financial support of up to USD 40,000.00 along with technical mentorship, and access to potential investment and partnerships. 🌱🍽️ MVNGO attended the 3rd Transnational Project Meeting of the project “Foster Youth Employment and Entrepreneurial Skills Using Circular Economy to Find Solutions to Community’ Food Waste Issues’’ [FOOD-Y] - a KA2 cooperation partnerships in youth project funded by the Erasmus Plus programme. FOODY project aims to empower youth in addressing food waste through education, community engagement, and the development of sustainable solutions, while fostering a circular economy in the food sector. 🌍🥦 The event took place on 15th March 2024 in Bucharest, Romania. In the framework of the “FOODY”, representatives of the 6 partners’ from 5 countries, including Sweden, Romania, Greece, Italy, and Turkey came together to discuss and plan local activities aimed at empowering young people to design initiatives for food waste recycling in their communities. During the TPM, partners also had the opportunity to visit Romanian partner Ateliere Fără Frontiere (AFF), where they learned about the organization's environmental initiatives.
