In clinical trials, to ensure accurate evaluation of images from multiple sites, standardizing modalities condition through phantom testing is sometimes necessary, particularly when PET/CT is used as an endpoint. Micron has standardized PET/CT imaging across many countries in East Asia. Multilateral standardization in East Asia was first undertaken by our company. We published our valuable experience in the Japanese Radiological Journal and gave a presentation at the World Congress of Nuclear Medicine and Biology held in Australia. Actually, there’s scientific backing linking statin medications to the development of cognitive decline and Alzheimer’s. 🧠💊 While there’s a lot of mixed evidence, and this field is new and developing, research published in the Journal of Nuclear Medicine has shown that in certain instances, taking statins may more than double the risk of developing Alzheimer’s. Of course, it’s important to consult with healthcare professionals when interpreting such findings. 💡Application in the spotlight!    In this study by Sankaranarayanan et al., Department of Nuclear Medicine, University Hospital Aachen, RWTH Aachen University, a theranostic approach was investigated in a TNBC xenograft mouse model by radiolabelling a close derivative of a PARPi Olaparib (termed PARPi-01) with the Auger emitters 123/125I.   The γ-cube (SPECT) and X-cube (CT) were used for longitudinal follow-up and evaluation of the biodistribution of [123I]PARPi-01 four h and 24h post-injection.   🔗 Link to the application can be found in the comments! #PreclinicalImaging #PreclinicalResearch #SPECT
