At Rekord, we firmly believe that sustainability must be at the core of all our production choices. This is why we have decided to adopt an approach that minimises environmental impact, fully integrating the principles of the circular economy into our production process. We only use leather derived from the food industry, ensuring that no resources are wasted. This choice reflects our commitment to 'leave no trace', valuing each raw material and transforming it into high quality footwear that not only lasts, but is also an expression of a responsible production cycle. Our vision goes beyond footwear production: we aim to protect our planet by reducing waste and maximising resource recovery. Through these practices, we are actively engaged in promoting a more sustainable future, demonstrating that it is possible to combine craftsmanship excellence and respect for the environment. #Rekord #MGM #amovingcompany #sustainability

👟We're excited to announce Allbirds is now measuring with Carbonfact! Aileen Lerch, Director of Sustainability at Allbirds, says: "Allbirds was founded to create better things in a better way, a mission that inspired our laser-focus on carbon reduction – and eventually, labeling each of our products with its carbon footprint. As we continue to grow, Carbonfact's offerings, particularly its product-level focus on footwear and apparel, ensure we can both measure our carbon footprint and actively find ways to reduce it. How does #TIWW check the garment and footwear industry’s temperature? 3️⃣ Our GHGe Metric: 🌍 In partnership with the Apparel Impact Institute (Aii) the total estimated emissions is calculated using data from the Sustainable Apparel Coalition, Worldly, and Textile Exchange. In their most recent report, "Taking Stock of Progress Against the Roadmap to Net Zero", Aii reminds us of the detrimental consequences already unfolding with 1.1°C of warming. These repercussions disproportionately affect regions critical to the apparel and footwear sector, emphasising the heightened impact on communities facing increased vulnerability. Consequently, the issue of #GHGe extends beyond its environmental implications; it is fundamentally interlinked to #HumanRights. Join us on February 20 at our side session at the OECD - OCDE Forum on Due Diligence in the Garment and Footwear Sector to jointly reflect on our most recent GHGe score and explore the opportunities on how to tackle shared obstacles in driving industry transformation. 🔗Register now: https://lnkd.in/evT8XwV9 Fair Wear Foundation Ethical Trading Initiative #IndustryTransformation #FashionIndustry #CollectiveAction #OECDForum #EnvironmentalResponsibility

We’re thrilled to announce the expansion of our Manufacturer Climate Action Program (MCAP), now engaging over 60 manufacturers in the fight against #climatechange. MCAP empowers manufacturers across the globe to accelerate their decarbonization journeys through science-aligned targets and tangible climate goals. We recently released a #decarbonization roadmap showing that 1,500 manufacturing facilities in nine countries account for 80% of the textile, apparel, and footwear industry’s carbon emissions. Through MCAP, manufacturers are equipped with critical tools and resources to drive sustainable change. The program’s mission is clear: a 45% reduction in GHG emissions by 2030 and net-zero by 2050. 🌍✨ On the World Dreams Day, we daydream about Sustainability ✨🌍 In Portugal, the homeland of #ForEver, this same date is the National Sustainability Day because, on this day in 2015, the United Nations adopted the 17 Sustainable Development Goals, setting a global vision for a better, more sustainable future. At #ForEver, we believe that sustainability is not just a dream: it’s a process. It may be long and challenging, but one that is essential to ensure a healthier planet and a brighter future for all. And every step we take in our production processes - like reusing wasted materials - is a step toward making this dream a reality. We are deeply committed to pushing the boundaries of sustainability in footwear soles, working diligently to turn our vision of a greener future into tangible progress. Let’s continue dreaming but, more importantly, let’s keep moving forward! #ForEverSoles #Sustainability #DreamDay #NationalSustainabilityDay #SustainableFootwear
