So many people have been supportive of Dan & me as we've put on our boutique hotel owner hats for the New Glarus Hotel! 🏨❤️ I'm planning to share a little more on LinkedIn about our journey, starting with all the gems 💎 we're finding as we continue the cleanup of the hotel before we get into full restoration mode. 🚧 As you can imagine, cleaning out a 175-year-old hotel means that we're always finding incredible (& hilarious!) pieces of history, like this sign: "Notice: All employees are requested to take a bath 🛀 before reporting for work. If I'm going to have to kiss 😘 your rear to get you to do anything, I want it to be clean. This recap video celebrates their incredible dedication to Joy, human connection and positive POSITIVE WORKPLACE CULTURE as they supported each other through every step of the process. From the tutorial videos we made, to the in-person choreography lessons, we are thrilled with the COLLABORATIVE IMPACT this team bonding experience created as they celebrated their 40th anniversary in Salt Lake City! TOWNHALL Townhall used to be an important culture in early days, which seems to have lost somewhere in the new trend of hotels growing every now & then. Why Townhall is Important in the functionality of a HOTEL / RESORT??? ·        Ice breaker between team & Management ·        Realign everyone to company Vision & Mission ·        Award & Appreciation – retaining the award up till next Townhall is a desire & hunger among others to get the award ·        Motivation to perform better for next Townhall appreciation ·        Reflects on the culture of company and their values toward the Team. Townhall also used to be a platform every month, where team used to VOICE out their problems in search for a solution, but with everything becoming so democratic now a days in Hospitality Industry that this tradition has again seems to be LOST, as no accurate solution is provided resulting in Team not putting their Problems and mere become a mute spectator. I strongly believe that TOWNHALL should carried out every month in every hotel and not once in a quarter or once in a year, Let us all give something to the team who is working tirelessly and making every hotel a beautiful place to be in their own way.
