Thank you to the Golden State Warriors video team for volunteering and shooting this feature of Lady for us! ❤️ Lady is a gentle, 2-year-old, 70-pound giant who's been with us since November. Over the past five months, she's become a beloved member of our shelter family. Despite her sweet nature, potential adopters have been deterred by one thing: Lady has joint issues in her elbows that require an expensive surgery to fix. Every day without this surgery means more pain medication, more limitations on her play and walk time, and more days in the shelter without a forever family. But here's the thing: Lady's spirit is unbreakable. Despite her situation, she's still full of love and playfulness. She loves to lounge all day in staff offices, play with kids who come visit, and brighten our days with her big goofy smile. She is an absolute staff favorite and we want her to get the surgery she needs, so she can have the next chapter of her life with a family all her own. This is where you come in: we urgently need your help to raise $15,000. With your support, we can give Lady the chance at the life she deserves. And we know, once she's healed, there's a family out there ready to give her the love she's been waiting for. Will you please donate today and share Lady's story? Every dollar raised will ensure Lady can get the surgery and care she desperately needs, and can help even more animals in our care. https://lnkd.in/gARbuwgR

How did I combine my professional and volunteer network? I'm thrilled to share a recent development that beautifully combines my professional network with none other than rescue cats! 😻 I reconnected with Zach Graumann, who has launched an incredible company, Samarity. ✨ Always eager to support initiatives that make a difference, I introduced Zach to Amanda McQuade, a driving force behind KittyKind, an organization dedicated to the well-being of our feline friends. We all live in communities, and our communities are what make us who we are. They provide us with a sense of belonging, support, and opportunity. But communities also need our help to thrive. That's why it's so important to give back to our communities. When we give back, we're not just helping others, we're also helping ourselves. Giving back makes us feel good, it connects us with our community, and it makes our community a better place to live. There are many ways to give back to your community. You can volunteer your time, donate money, or simply be a good neighbor. Here are a few ideas to get you started: Volunteer your time. There are many organizations in your community that need volunteers. You could volunteer at a soup kitchen, a homeless shelter, a hospital, or a school. Donate money. There are many charities in your community that could use your donation. You could donate to a food bank, a homeless shelter, a children's hospital, or a local animal shelter. Be a good neighbor. This means looking out for your neighbors, helping them out when they need it, and being friendly and welcoming. Get involved in your community. This could mean attending community events, joining a community group, or running for office. No matter how you choose to give back, you're making a difference. So get out there and start making your community a better place!

Service dogs are not just pets; they are lifelines for individuals with disabilities, offering independence, companionship, and a newfound sense of freedom. However, the cost of obtaining or training a service dog can be overwhelming, and many people in need are left without this life-changing support. This is where I step in, and I need your support! By donating to my cause, you can be a part of something truly special. Your generosity will directly impact the lives of those who depend on their four-legged partners for essential daily tasks and emotional support. From our Co-Founder, William Galli If you haven't got any charity in your heart, you have the worst kind of heart trouble. - Bob Hope Tis' the season to be jolly, no? I'd be willing to bet, the more charitable you are the jollier you become. Not only during the Christmas holidays but all year round. A charitable heart leads to a charitable mind which leads to a charitable soul. Think about it for a minute. Many times when we are charitable, it's a spur of the moment type of charity, and we give from the heart without even thinking about it. We see someone on the street in need for example, and we give right from the heart because we immediately feel for that person. But when we allow our mind to enter the charitable equation, we are thinking about that individual on the street, and intellectually understand and feel for the day in and day out circumstances that person faces on an ongoing basis, so we choose to give regularly. When charity enters your soul, it becomes part of your very being. It transcends the physical, and becomes a part of who you are, and how you look at the world, and live your life. People become the primary focus in your life, and things become secondary. Choose Charities believes it's going to take a collective nationwide charitable change of heart, mind and soul to end poverty and homelessness in America. If America can find the support, expertise, and billions to explore inner and outer space, research and cure diseases, and fund our military. We can find the support, expertise, and billions to help the 37.9 million Americans out of poverty today, of which 11 million are helpless children, and 1.5 million our nation's heroes, our veterans.. . . it's just going to take a nationwide charitable change of heart, mind, and soul with a bit of a priorities adjustment. The Godfather of Las Vegas - Executive Recruiting for Casinos/Gaming and High Tech (By Referral Only Please)
Tis the Season: The Godfather on Charity - Founded my executive recruiting company 20 years ago on the premise of donating a portion of each executive placement to charity. This quarter we are focused on Gigi’s Playhouse, Catholic Charities, Make-A-Wish and Noah's Animal House. Given the number of cold calls and "asks" this holiday season, here are my views on charity. First, "To whom much is given...much is required." Luke 12:48. Or as my Dad used to say, "Those that take the elevator to the top have an obligation to send it back down for everyone else." The happiest people are the givers, not the takers. Second, my primary focus is charity requests from my clients. Why? Because these are the companies and executives that have supported my business for 20 years. If nothing else, I’m the most loyal person you have ever met. That does not mean the other 3,500 registered non-profits are not worthy. I'm sure they are wonderful; however my focus is about a dozen national and local charities where I feel my financial support has an impact. Third, my focus is on charities organizations that support children and animals. Why? Because they did not pick their parents. You have to go with what touches your heart. Wishing you and yours the best holiday season ever. God bless!

It's National Philanthropy Day! While we can all agree that every day should be National Philanthropy Day, this is a great day to reflect on charity. Below are a few ideas: 1. Imagine a world without charities. No charities helping animals, children, curing diseases, taking care of people in difficult circumstances. Take a minute on National Philanthropy Day to thank yourself for supporting causes you care about in the past – and plan what you can do for them in the future. 2. Sit down and write out the causes and the charities you support and why you choose to support them. This can be a powerful reminder of the difference you are making to these great causes!! 3. Write down a few ideas for how you can support these charities this week, this month and in the future. Get excited about your philanthropy!!

When JaQuala (pictured below with her family) picked up the phone and called InteCare Veteran service in February, she was homeless and fleeing domestic violence. By April, she secured housing with the help of her InteCare Case Manager. Today, Jaquala is thriving: she's employed full-time, prioritizing her mental health, and transitioning to the SSVF Shallow Subsidy program. Thanks to your ongoing partnership with InteCare Veteran Services, this year we’ve helped over 400 Veterans, like JaQuala, regain independence and create a stable future for themselves and their families through comprehensive supportive services. Please donate to our Year-End Giving Campaign and continue to provide shelter, hope, and a brighter future for our nation's heroes—our homeless Veterans. Your generous gift will help Veterans experiencing homelessness and at risk of homelessness in Central Indiana: * Secure stable housing so that Veterans and their families never have to worry about where they’ll sleep that night * Counseling and substance treatment services designed to address the unique needs of each client * Job training to ensure Veterans connect to and maintain gainful employment * Resources such as food, utilities, and childcare to provide each Veteran with the support they need to succeed Send your donation by December 31, 2023, to be eligible for a 2023 U.S. tax deduction. Your generous contribution to our Year-End Giving Campaign is tax-deductible to the extent law allows. InteCare is a registered 501(c)(3) nonprofit organization (Tax ID: 35-2066074). We recommend consulting with your tax advisor to determine the full extent of your charitable deduction benefits. Here’s how you can contribute: 1. Click the link "Donate" to donate via PayPal. https://bit.ly/49RaolK 2. Mail your donation to 9425 Delegates Row, Indianapolis, IN, 46240. Every donation matters, big or small, and brings us closer to our goal of ensuring that every Veteran has a home. Please send your donation today to the Year-End Giving Campaign and allow homeless Veterans to rebuild their lives and positively impact their communities. https://bit.ly/49RaolK #givingtuesday #veterans #nonprofitdonation #yearendcampaign
