I wanted to get your honest opinion on something...if you have a few moments to share your thoughts it would be GREATLY appreciated. PBFA (the company I am a part of) is a member run, trade organization. Our foundation is built around BRANDS in the CPG space as well as ingredient suppliers and industry affiliates. We are considering opening up our membership to bring in Industry Partners - Operators, Food and Bev Directors, Contract MGMT companies etc etc - Basically companies like you :) What I want to know, is what you would PAY to be a member and have access/opportunities like the few examples below: - Contribution to member assets that brand companies will leverage and use.  - Thought Leadership Positions for Trade Show panels and workshops - Industry Insights and opportunity to partner on strategic projects.  - Participation on committees  - Opportunity to have a voice in the industry and advocate.  - Access to entrepreneurial start ups as well as larger brands.  - The ability to bring in subject matter experts for your own internal planning and goal setting around plant based foods and sustainability. You can respond simply with a dollar figure but if you have ideas on what else we could do to SUPPORT and SERVE you and your Plant Based Procurement goals that would be so valuable. If you are a foodservice distribution professional, you can likely relate to the fact that it can be hard to connect with others in the space across the country because you are head down focused on building your business. There are few resources for distribution professionals, there aren't many books or regional organizations focused on building one another up. One thing that has always been important to me is networking and building relationships with all people but particularly those in the industry. Having worked in the independent distribution segment, we never had all the answers. We always experienced firsts and worked to build our own systems. Exciting day at the NAG Convenience Conference! Earlier we listened to a great foodservice marketing discussion between Gaurang Maniar (G-Man) - The Wills Group, Denise Jenkins - United Dairy Farmers, Richard P. - Food Trend Think Tank, and Kay Segal - The Business Accelerator Team (BATeam). Some key highlights:  - Knowing your key customers and building your marketing around them - Creating personas for each customer segment - The importance of continued brand evolution - Being agile and aware to shift strategies when needed

Big acquisition in the ingredient space - CP Kelco is a great acquisition for Tate & Lyle as they look to move towards being the go-to supplier of specialty solutions eg less commodity, higher value add. Side note - it feels like the appetite for acquisition from strategics and private equity is starting to ramp up over the last 6-7 months with several multi million and billion deals...will be interesting to see if it continues through the rest of the year.
