Every day I’m reminded of the concept: All the gear, no idea ⚙️ - A £5000 studio for the day. - A £3,000 lighting set up. - A £10,000 camera. - A £1,000 mic. And the end product? Yeah, it looks great, but with no story, no connection, no concept, no differentiation, it gets absolutely no views. No one cares. No one watches. No one remembers it. The key to great video is in more than just the camera set-up or the pretty shot. It’s in the story. The way you engage with your audience. The way you connect with the watcher. The value you can give them. So, is it important to have a great set up? → Of course it is. But is that the silver bullet? → Absolutley not. Focus on the story, connect with your audience and make your videos something people remember.

Unpopular opinion: When your sizzle video is 90% complete, it’s finished. Get the damn thing live. People nitpick for the sake of nitpicking. It’s just not needed. As far as sizzle videos go, the effort to go from 90% to 100% is expensive, time-consuming and pretty much pointless. This extra 10% is often spent on unimportant things: Special effects Fancy transitions Detailed graphics Yes, your sizzle vid needs to look professional and high-quality. But keep it clean and simple. I’ve always been this way, and it’s served me well throughout my career working with the likes of Coca-Cola, VW, Adidas, Uber, Heineken, Taco Bell, Twitch and many more. What’s my secret? It all comes down to efficiency. We don’t waste our client’s time or energy. We don’t keep our clients waiting longer than necessary. We don’t waste our client’s money tweaking things that don’t matter. We don’t strive for perfection at the expense of our clients. We don’t spend time on unimportant features. Once we’ve nailed the hook, story, message, narrative, CTA — we’re done! Everything else is unnecessary. And you won't convince me otherwise. #Trust #Gaming #Relationships

Good morning. When preparing a video for social, I hear so many different things about what aspect ratio is the best. 16 by 9? 1 by 1? 9 by 16? There are all sorts of opinions online. (And yes, lots of people who just don’t care). I thought the best way to see for myself would be to conduct a little experiment. So for the next 3 days I am going to post in the 3 main aspect ratios (16 by 9, 1 by 1, and 9 by 16), and see the results. This first day is 16:9. My favourite aspect ratio because it feels a little bit more cinematic to me. I am running this experiment on Facebook, Instagram and LinkedIN. So, what is everyone’s opinion on 16 by 9?   Tomorrow will will see what 1 by 1 looks like. Just finished listening to Bring Me The Horizon's new album, and let me tell you, it's a marketing masterclass wrapped in heavy riffs and epic screams. 🎸🤘 Here's what I learned: Shock Value Works: Just like their unexpected genre shifts, throwing in a curveball now and then keeps the audience hooked. Next campaign, I'm thinking of adding some deathcore to our email subject lines. 📧🔥 Collabs are Key: BMTH features a mix of artists from different genres, proving that unexpected partnerships can create magic. Maybe it’s time to team up with our competitors? Just kidding... or am I? 🤔 Consistent Inconsistency: Their ability to reinvent themselves while staying true to their core identity is genius. We should totally rebrand our brand’s rebrand strategy to keep everyone guessing. 🤷♂️🎨 Merch Overload: They sell everything from hoodies to...well, more hoodies. We need merch. Lots of merch. Branded everything. Because who doesn’t need a company logo-ed fidget spinner? So, here's to learning from the masters of mayhem and applying a bit of metal madness to our marketing.
