This recent news covered by the Aviation Week Network shows that Pratt and Whitney are in deep waters, and nearly 40% of their parts supplied to Airbus will need inspection.   Due to the surge in unscheduled checks overhauls, turnaround times (TATs) may grow to 300 days.   MTU, a maintenance provider, mentions that capacity challenges and parts shortages are resulting in longer TATs.   Here, I have mentioned five critical lessons for aerospace manufacturers emerging from this situation.   #aerospace #prattandwhitney #defects
