R&K team members Carl Misner (pictured left) and Peter Morton (pictured right) support the AF A2/6UO Reconnaissance Operations Team that was recently named the “A2/6 Team of the Year!” Congratulations to Carl, Pete, and their entire team! Carl and Pete support the Air Force Deputy Chief of Staff for Intelligence, Surveillance, Reconnaissance, and Cyber Effects Operations (AF A2/6) under our “Olympus” task order by providing highly-specialized, technical consultation. Carl and Pete specifically support the Reconnaissance Operations Team (A2/6UO) tasked to advance high-altitude platform initiatives. Here are just a few of their accomplishments that helped secure the Team of the Year win: · Led an avionics technical refresh test flight effort which paved the way for enhanced capability for the U-2 high-altitude reconnaissance platform. · Advised the Air Force Chief of Staff on current U-2 mission effectiveness to deny, degrade and disrupt target nation capabilities; brought increased awareness of critical contributions to joint and inter-agency operations against homeland threats. · Expertly authored and socialized U-2 divestment plan considerations; detailed sustainment and modernization efforts needed despite the retirement plan for the platform, and ensured a planning framework that takes care of 1,144 USAF Airmen and their families. · Performed a FY23 End of Year Military Intelligence Program execution review for OUSD (I&S) and demonstrated the U-2 is meeting all appropriations obligation and expenditure levels without deviation. R&K is proud to have Carl and Pete on our team – congratulations to you both, and thank you for your exceptional service!
