Happy to share our newest publication on Laser Speckle Contrast Imaging (LSCI) and bowel perfusion assessment. 💡 Our study aimed to calculate a cut-off value for quantified laser speckle perfusion units (LSPUs) in order to differentiate between ischemic and well-perfused tissue and to assess inter-observer reliability. We investigated this in a porcine intestinal ischemic loop model, with succes. ✅ Real-time quantification of LSPUs may be a feasible intraoperative method to assess tissue perfusion and a cut-off value could be determined with high sensitivity and specificity. We are excited to announce the publication of paper titled "Influence of Magnetic Fields on a Scintillation Dosimeter" in the Journal of Applied Clinical Medical Physics. This paper investigates the impact of magnetic fields on the response of a scintillation dosimeter, specifically the Blue Physics model 10. Our findings demonstrate that the dosimeter is well-suited for relative dosimetry applications within the context of MR-linacs. We believe this research holds significant implications for the field of radiation oncology, particularly in the realm of MR-guided radiotherapy. Our findings pave the way for more accurate and reliable dosimetry measurements during MR-guided radiotherapy procedures, ultimately contributing to enhanced patient care. 📣 New Study: Comparison of Spiral Breast CT with MRI! AB-CT is now conducting the study "Comparison of low-dose spiral breast CT with MRI in the most important indications of MRI for breast diagnostics" in cooperation with these three medical centers: ✦ Universitätsklinikum Erlangen (GER) ✦ Leiden University Medical Center (NL) ✦ Martini Ziekenhuis Groningen (NL). This prospective, non-randomized, intra-individual, multicenter, multinational cohort study with 428 patients is led by the radiologists Dr. med. Sabine Ohlmeyer, MHBA (Erlangen), Dr. Martin Wasser (Leiden) and Dr. Arnoud Meijer (Groningen). 🎯The objective of this comparative study is to compare contrast-enhanced breast CT with contrast-enhanced MRI in terms of BI-RADS classification at lesion level. In addition, patient questionnaires will be used to collect data on comfort, patient acceptance, duration, claustrophobia and noise exposure of both modalities.
