A lot can change in a year. The Performance footwear market is dynamic and constantly moving forward. Brands can rise and fall quickly on the strength of innovation, trends and consumer demands. Where a brand is now doesn't guarantee where it will be 6, 12 or 24 months from now. Does this need an update? What brands should be talked about? What brands are making moves? What values are important? What is changing? --- I’m the owner of The Directive Collective footwear design consultancy. We make great footwear, not just great sketches. #design #footwear #footweardesign
What do you think kiprun ?
Where's Craft in this?
I would love it if you can add Mizuno to the list :)
Richard Kuchinsky would love to see your view of that list focusing on the newer footwear brands (non legacy brands) and see how you stack them up. 🙇
How about XTEP sir? Would love to see your view on that.
I think an update is in order. Adidas has been pushing the performance element harder with the EVO Pro, the PRO 4, SL and EVO SL. They've also been planting a firm flag in the trail running space with their Agravic line. ON, to my surprise, have been getting praise for both their performance shoe, as well as their long-run. Their price point is definitely a challenge for most runners, but it's interesting to see where they go with their elite athletes.
