🌟 Is Your Company Sexy Enough for Gen Z? Let’s Tune That Image! 🌟 Guess what? I’m taking the stage at the HVG Job Fair on November 7th at MOM Sportközpont to spill the secrets of how any company can be the place Gen Z dreams of working as the Zyntern.com Állásportál's Content Specialist. I mean, why settle for ordinary when you can be extraordinary, right? 😎 In my session, titled “Corporate Image Tuning – Making Your Company Sexy for Gen Z!”, we’ll dive into: - What REALLY attracts Gen Z (spoiler: it’s not just the ping-pong table 🏓). - Corporate Identity Glow-Up Tips: Because looking good isn’t just for Instagram. - The Power of Personal Branding: Helping your team (and your brand) shine, one quirky LinkedIn post at a time. And after the presentation, I’ll stick around for a live Q&A – bring any questions you’ve got (or confessions about that outdated onboarding video!). Let’s make this fun, interactive, and full of real talk! 🎤 I can’t wait to meet everyone, share some laughs, and (hopefully) some aha moments. If you’re serious about making your company the next hot spot for young talent, don’t miss it. 👀 📍 Where: MOM Sportközpont 📅 When: November 7, 2024 🕒 Time: 15:05 - 15:35 See you there – come ready for some corporate image magic and a few laughs! 🚀 #HVGJobFair #GenZGoals #CorporateGlowUp #WorkplaceVibes #EmployerBranding #NetworkingFun #MakingCareersSexy

Have you ever seen an advertisement for a careers fair and decided against attending? Or maybe you did go along to find that the whole experience caused overwhelm and social anxiety... Working with a client this week, they said they'd like to attend their region's BIGGEST careers fair. They had been two years before, but always with support from a family member. This year they were to attempt to attend on their own and wanted to discuss some of their concerns. So we spent their session discussing their concerns and possible ideas for allowing them to self-advocate and accommodate their sensory needs. Here's what we came up with: 🎧 'It is busy and noisy, this can cause me sensory overwhelm' - Give ear protection a try that filters background noise but allows you to engage with 1-2-1 conversations successfully. 🔊 Another idea could be emailing the organiser in advance to ask when at previous years has been the quietest time at the fair. Typically careers fairs tend to be quietest in the final half an hour, so why not aim to attend during the final part of the event? 🗣️ 'How do I break the ice and start conversations?' - Flash cards can be helpful to prepare beforehand. You could write down individuals/companies you want to talk to, what you hope to share about yourself and one-liner conversation opener ideas e.g. 'Hello my name is [x], how long have you worked at [x] company for? I am unemployed and looking for work at the moment. You can also include reminders such as asking them for a contact email for their recruitment team. 🕒 'I am worried about feeling stressed and anxious' - Take regular breaks in a quiet space or outside. Build these into your day and ensure that you take time to take notes are each interaction to 1) process conversations and 2) to keep track of outcomes. What other tips would you give to an Autistic adult attending a careers fair alone for the first time? #careersfair #neurodiversity #advice

🌟 Had an amazing time at the Society for Canadian Women in Science and Technology (SCWIST) Career Fair on 10th May! I was grateful every minute as it was incredible meeting so many inspiring women and soaking up all the knowledge and insights the event had to offer. ✨ Here are a few key takeaways that really resonated with me: 1️⃣ Don't be afraid to speak up! 🗣️ Through the inspiring speech by Susana Rodriguez, I learned that we should not be hesitant to take up space: I sometimes struggle with this, but the speech was a real eye-opener. Your opinion matters, finding a company that appreciates your inputs is crucial. 2️⃣ Success is all about connections and continuous learning! Reach out, schedule those coffee chats, and always strive to upskill. 📝 Some valuable job-related tips I picked up: 1️⃣ Post on LinkedIn & Build your brand: I know it can feel awkward at first, because same!! I was in the same boat, overthinking what to post and what not to post, that I ended up not posting anything. But here's the scoop: Recruiters appreciate authenticity over perfection. Example: They don't mind if you don't win a hackathon, but they would just love to know that you participated (I was so surprised to hear this!). Share your journey, even the imperfect parts! 2️⃣ Recruiters want to hire people, not robots: Hear me out now, imagine they're sorting through thousands of applications for one job. What makes you stand out? It's not just your qualifications; it's your personality. When recruiters see your profile and connect with what you share, you become more than just a name on a resume. Posting on LinkedIn lets them see the real you, making it easier for them to reach out. So, it's not enough to just have a profile; make it reflect who you are. 3️⃣ Network with people in your desired role: Sure, connecting with a recruiter is great, but insights from those already in your dream job? Priceless. There were plenty more nuggets of wisdom shared at the event, but these are the perfect starting points to help you (& myself) land that job! 🚀 Big thanks to the Society for Canadian Women in Science and Technology (SCWIST) for orchestrating such a valuable Career Fair! It was incredibly beneficial, and I'm truly grateful for the opportunity to attend. 🍀 To all my fellow job hunters out there, stay strong! It's a challenging journey, but we've got what it takes. Let's support each other every step of the way. 💪 🤝 Feel free to connect with me so we can cheer each other on! Can't wait to see us all thrive.

Why Was the NYC CareerMD Job Fair a Huge Letdown for Candidates? Answers: https://lnkd.in/ganhN83F #CareerFair #JobSeekerChallenges #NetworkingOpportunities Hey everyone! 🌟 I wanted to chat about the recent CareerMD Job Fair we attended in NYC on September 6th. Honestly, it turned out to be a complete flop! 😞 Here’s why: Low Attendance: Can you believe that for the first two hours, there were around 50 recruiting tables set up, and not a single candidate walked in? The event organizers predicted about 400 candidates would show up, but our estimate is that fewer than 100 actually did. That’s just disheartening for everyone involved! Poor Organization: When you go to a job fair, you expect certain things to be in place, right? Well, they didn’t even provide name tags for participants! This made networking awkward and frustrating—how can you connect with potential employers if you don’t even know each other’s names? All this resulted in what felt like a total waste of time, money, and effort. 😡 It seems like others have had better experiences with events put on by companies like Practicelink. So, what do you think? What could have made the CareerMD Job F...
