We’re excited to announce EDL has joined the Michigan Clean Fuel Standard (CFS) Coalition which is a driving force supporting the work to reduce carbon emissions from transportation fuels in our home state.   With our US headquarters in Lansing, and seven landfill gas to renewable electricity facilities and a large renewable natural gas facility in Michigan, EDL is heavily invested in the cleaner energy future of our state and ensuring the Michigan CFS becomes an example for other Midwestern states.   Our Wood Road Renewable Natural Gas (RNG) facility near Lansing recently marked two years of operations, and we’ve produced a short video about the plant and its contribution to the renewable energy transition in Michigan. https://lnkd.in/gbw6Ux79   We believe the best Clean Fuel Standard (CFS) policy is one that is technology and fuel neutral and is based on peer-reviewed science.   A well drafted CFS should directly benefit Michigan communities through reduced pollution and growing investment in well-paid jobs and automotive technology.    #CleanFuelStandard, #Michigan, #RNG #RenewableNaturalGas, #cleanenergytransition

Battery storage systems such as Bramley have a key role to play in scaling up renewables in the power system and delivering secure and sustainable energy, according to the International Energy Agency (IEA), but deployment needs to scale up significantly between now and the end of the decade.   The Bramley system is one of the most sophisticated longer-duration assets under construction in the UK and will provide Shell Energy Europe with unmatched capabilities for portfolio optimisation.   Tolls have been a feature of conventional energy trading for many years. By extending the business model to battery storage, Shell has the trading experience to add significant value, while supporting the UK’s ongoing energy transition. The experience gained through these early tolling contracts will be invaluable to the wider market.
