Last week we held our monthly all-hands meeting. As always, we took the time to welcome new teammates and celebrate our colleagues’ birthdays (Diane May T. went swimming with turtles at a marine conservatory on her big day! 🐢) We also took some time to practice what we preach so often here on social media: we launched an internal experiment to help us design better products and features. 👩🏼🔬 Like any organization, each of us spends most of our working hours with colleagues in our own area. We want to ensure that our organization does not become siloed and that we are constantly learning from each other’s points of view. 🤔 So we divided into four cross-functional teams with representatives from each area within the company. For this first experiment, we will spend the next few weeks brainstorming ideas for making our products more lovable. 💖 We are excited about this transition in our way of thinking about how to achieve our collective goals and overcome challenges because we are running an experiment at two levels: 🙌🏼 Do these cross-functional teams help us collaborate better internally? 😍 Do new features help us create products that are of the highest value to our customers? We can’t wait to report back and let you know how it goes! ✨ Learn more at native.tech. Ben Lang Camila Reyes Camacho Lukas Novak

Are you the manager in this scenario who will approve professional development for attending our She Leads Conference? 1.3 million people changed jobs during the year ending February 2023, equating to a job mobility rate of 9.5% of all employed people changing jobs during the year. That's a staggering percentage. When employees feel stagnant or unchallenged in their roles, it can contribute to feelings of dissatisfaction and burnout. You're at greater risk of losing them. So, invest in your team. Our She Leads Conference 2024 is the perfect way to develop and foster a culture of continuous learning. [Source: Australian Bureau of Statistics]

Getting attention for ERG events and DEI initiatives can be *rough*. A lot of the high-level 'best practices' just don't work IRL. I'm jazzed to team up with Chezie for a workshop with *practical* advice for building ERG membership, boosting event engagement, and getting exec buy-in. 12PM ET on Nov 15th.
