Reel is actively engaged in developing new projects and is ready to support companies interested in Power Purchase Agreements (PPAs). The new agreement for the Djursland Solar Park is a significant step for businesses in the green transition. Jon Sigvert, CEO and co-founder of Reel, excitedly added," This PPA marks a significant milestone in our journey to make renewable energy accessible and attractive for all companies, regardless of size. We are especially pleased that the solar park's power will benefit so many local companies, ensuring even greater local value creation. Energicenter Nord is dedicating part of the park to local wildlife, especially bats. They will plant fruit trees under power lines and wildflowers around the solar panels. The fence will be lifted 20 cm to allow animal movement. These initiatives were created in collaboration with the local community to balance climate and nature. 25 companies involved are: Aquaporin A/S, Arkitema, Baettr, Bobach Stålentreprise A/S, Brdr. In our case, by providing cutting-edge technology in the form of a highly flexible seafloor mapping system that combines underwater hyperspectral and RGB imaging, navigation sensors and an AI-driven data processing pipeline. We've been selected by bp to deliver a front-end engineering and design (FEED) project that will enable the construction of a new #hydrogen pipeline network in the Teesside area. 🔷 As part of the East Coast Cluster, the integrated blue #hydrogen production facility and hydrogen distribution pipeline will provide industrial users with an alternative to natural gas, a key step in the development of the hydrogen economy. 👷♂️ 👷♀️ Our in-house #engineering expertise will design a 31km pipeline distribution network that will safely transport hydrogen from bp's proposed H2Teesside project, its low carbon hydrogen production plant. We're excited to announce an innovative partnership with Loviisan Lämpö Oy and Iotoi Oy, focused on meeting our cooling needs while also supporting the environment and the community. 🌿 Expanding Responsibly 🌿 As Loval Oy is expanding and our production capacity grows, the demand for cooling has naturally increased. However, we've found a solution that not only meets our cooling requirements but also takes waste heat and turns it into environmentally friendly district heat. 💡 The Solution 💡 Our partner, Loviisan Lämpö Oy, will be constructing an energy center right here at our Loval Oy factory site. This facility will provide the cooling necessary for our operations, and the waste heat generated during the cooling process will be seamlessly integrated into Loviisa Lämpö's district heating network. This initiative is projected to cover up to a quarter of Loviisa's district heating needs, making significant progress toward district heat production without combustion. But what truly makes this project exceptional is its focus on waste heat recovery. In the past, excess heat was lost into the atmosphere, harming the environment and squandering resources. Now, all waste heat is harnessed, either at its source or within the district heating network. This environmentally responsible solution not only benefits the planet but also reduces combustion and delivers cost savings for everyone involved. "At Loval Oy, we prioritize not only our production conditions but also social responsibility and environmental friendliness that extend beyond our factory premises," emphasizes Thomas Stendahl, our Managing Director. The journey has already begun, with the design and construction of the energy center in full swing. We're excited to announce that this project is set to be completed by June 2024, thanks to the expertise of Sweco Talotekniikka Oy, responsible for the structural design.
