What is my perfect day at work? I recently interviewed for a CPO role and this was one the interview questions... My response: ☕ Starbucks: I recently moved 30 minutes from the nearest Starbucks so the best day involves a coffee. 💖 Small Talk: As a leader my favorite parts of my day were saying: "Happy Birthday" "How was your vaca" "Great job today" to people who I don't work directly with. From entry level to stakeholder. Those conversations are such a important part of HR leadership. Small talk turns into Big trust. #smalltalk #peopleandculture #culturematters #leadership

What a great question to reflect on. As leaders, humans, HR professionals, spouses (and the list goes on), we interact with dozens of people on a daily basis. Imaging the positive impact we could have if we approached every conversation with the intent to positively impact the person we are interacting with? Realistically, we will still have conversations that don't end on a positive note, no matter how hard we try. However, reducing negative conversations and increasing positive conversations has a huge impact on how we feel as individuals. We could have less stress, and more positivity throughout the day by virtue of being intentional with our thoughts and actions.

Recognizing our replaceability in the workplaces can indeed empower us to approach situations with clarity and objectivity, rather than taking things personal. Your commitment to prioritize family time amidst de demands for work is commendable, and speak volumes about your values. Prioritizing quality over quantity, maintaining open communication, and sharing responsibilities are key ingredients for nurturing strong family bonds while navigating busy schedule. Your Jobs are replaceable, but you'll only get one family 😉
