We did it! We are excited to have been part of Canary Wharf Group’s SME SBTi Mentoring programme, supported by Heart of the City, which helped us on our journey to net zero. The programme enabled us to make steps to measure our carbon footprint, develop a carbon reduction plan and to set a science-based target. ⚡#SolutionsFriday (or maybe just an occasional resharing of climate change solutions) 🪰 GOTERRA is a female-founded and led startup using a combo engineered and nature-based solution (the article mentions "maggots," but the species is the amazing Black Soldier Fly) to convert food waste to "high-value, low-impact protein and fertiliser in just 12 days." 🥳 In addition to celebrating this particular solution, I want to remember how many people are right now working to scale solutions that significantly reduce emissions, valorize "waste" streams, solutions that are being adopted by sectors that definitively make strictly business decisions. 🙌 We can. Quietly, while y'all weren't watching. The GOTERRA just quietly went out and did a first in the world thing. Again Maybe because I keep posting them so regularly they've lost their impact? Anyway, our first compact unit deployed to Melbourne Airport. We just installed our second into Australia's largest hotel, in the very centre of Darling Harbour in Sydney. An incredibly small loading dock. But more importantly, our clients have leveraged the Goterra technology force multiplier to deliver on scope three emissions reductions and circular economy outcomes in the most incredible way.
