First Phosphate Corp (CSE: PHOS) CEO John Passalacqua joined Steve Darling from Proactive to announce a significant development for the company - the signing of a Joint Development Agreement with Integrals Power Limited of Milton Keynes, United Kingdom. This agreement marks a crucial step forward in First Phosphate's efforts to produce battery-grade iron III #phosphate precursor for the lithium iron phosphate (LFP) battery industry outside of China. Passalacqua explained that the agreement outlines an initial phase of joint development focused on creating the technology necessary for producing the iron phosphate precursor for LFP cathode active material (CAM). The goal is to develop a scalable, low-cost, and environmentally compliant process for manufacturing battery-grade iron III phosphate. Great to see the DLE columns are getting bigger. In this case commercial size - so taller and larger diameter with lots more bolts at the bottom. It struck me while hanging out the washing on the line that DLE columns look similar to the hot water tank alongside the house and next to the wash line. It also struck me that it’s what happens inside the DLE columns that counts. That matters. The DLE adsorbent resin that selects and adsorbs the lithium ions from the brine and desorbs it into the eluate which is subsequently concentrated to “lithium concentrate” (concentrated eluate). What’s interesting to me is that the recent DFS technical report showed that inside the columns, the Koch LiPRO LSS DLE selected by Standard over its own proprietary LiSTR appeared to do a superior job at rejecting impurities, but didn’t achieve as high a concentration of lithium in the post-DLE eluate. Results shown in the comments. Also, part of the rationale for selecting Koch LiPRO LSS DLE over LiSTR is that Koch provided a “performance guarantee”. Looking forward to seeing further test work results from the Standard demonstration plant using the newly installed, larger, commercial DLE column(s).

On December 24, Inter-China Chemical: The company's Titanium-based Lithium Adsorbent production line with an annual output of 5,000-ton has successfully produced qualified products. The current production operation is stable and the product quality all meets standard requirements. Titanium-based Lithium Adsorbent G-100 is a selective adsorbent for lithium ions. Its main application areas are lithium extraction from salt lakes and various lithium-containing liquids. Surefire Resources NL (ASX:SRN) has further improved the recovery of vanadium in a second phase of laboratory test work on #MagnetiteConcentrate from the Victory Bore #Vanadium Project in Western Australia. The company said testing of its leach process for #VanadiumExtraction on pre-treated #magnetite concentrate (PTMC) had “dramatically improved” recovery to 97% in a much-shortened leach time of just 24 hours. Importantly, the follow-up test-work confirms that the metallurgical conditions require no high pressure or high temperatures (roasting) of the pre-treated magnetite. The fact that roasting is no longer required is significant for future processing with a significantly reduced carbon footprint as well as reduced opex and capex.
