As part of Mandel Group, Inc. extensive adaptive reuse and expansion of a 19th-century nunnery and school into Caroline Heights Apartments, a 237-unit multi-family community, the development team faced a significant challenge. They aimed to transform the former chapel and heritage room into a stunning two-story clubroom and entertainment space but needed a solution that would allow them to introduce ample daylight into the space without compromising the historic architecture. Solatube Distributor, Brighter Concepts Ltd., delivered the perfect solution by installing four of our 160 DS Tubular Daylighting Devices (TDDs). These systems, typically used for residential projects, were not only small enough to fit between the building's trusses, maintaining its structural integrity but also provided abundant daylight, enhancing the space's aesthetic appeal. Now, residents and local businesses can enjoy beautifully lit common spaces for decades to come, fostering a sense of community and well-being. https://buff.ly/3Rr9VMB #SolatubeInternational #TubularDaylighting #ArchitectureDesign #BetterBuildingsforaBetterWorld #AdaptiveReuse #Renovation #MultFamilyHousing #Apartments Project Details: Product: (4) 160 DS Tubular Skylights Architect: Engberg Anderson Architects Solatube Distributor/Installer: Brighter Concepts, Ltd Developer/General Contractor: Mandel Group Location: Elm Grove, WI
Another amazing installation by Keith C Johnson
What a gorgeous building! Are there any pictures of the product finished internally? How long were the tube runs on this one?
