"What shall I wear to play #padel?" This question gets asked frequently by new players who may think there's an intimidation factor that overhangs other more "elitist" or "hierarchical" sports and perhaps they think this applies to padel too. I have seen some amazing interpretations of "active wear" over the last few months - especially as the weather warmed slightly, but I have yet to see trends emerge or a definitive padel apparel range - I embrace this and hope padel defines it's own culture including what to wear. Some clubs have launched their own ranges, whilst the usual suspects have basically rebadged tennis clothing and called it padel gear. There's a huge gap in the market for padel apparel which is currently being filled by "whatever I feel comfortable wearing." As urban or challenger sports define and shape their own destiny, the culture that surrounds them gets embraced by the wider public including the clothing.
