Sugar was sneaking into my meals, even when I thought I was doing everything right. I’d read the labels, I avoided candy and soda, and yet, I couldn’t figure out why I still felt sluggish after meals. I started paying attention to those “healthy” snacks and sauces. That granola bar? Packed with hidden sugars. The salad dressing? More sugar than you’d think. Hidden sugars are everywhere—yogurts, breads, sauces. They’re disguised with names like “maltose,” “fructose,” and “evaporated cane juice.” Reading every label, scrutinizing every ingredient. You realize how easy it is to be fooled. And while everyone else seems to enjoy those “healthy” snacks without a second thought: You’re the one having to double-check, making sure that protein bar isn’t loaded with sugar. But here’s why it’s worth it: Once you cut out those hidden sugars, your body will thank you. You’ll have more consistent energy, fewer crashes, and you’ll feel better overall. #F*ckingFitOver40 #HiddenSugars #HealthyEating #SugarFreeLiving #FFIT40

Skip the fries, ditch the Coke, and still enjoy that drive-thru chicken burger! Here’s why: A chicken burger has way more protein than banana bread, keeping you full and supporting muscle growth. Fries and soda are loaded with empty calories. Cutting them out slashes your calorie intake without sacrificing satisfaction. Strict meal plans can be tough to stick to. Making small changes like opting out of the sides is easier to maintain. Drive-thru doesn’t have to mean unhealthy. A grilled chicken burger can be a decent option. Swap strict meal plans for small hacks like this and watch the weight melt off. Trust me, a protein-packed burger beats Starbucks banana bread any day! # #weightloss #HealthyHacks #FitnessJourney #Eatingout #flexiblediet

It’s Friday y’all! Are you ready to start the weekend off with a healthy snack that will satisfy your sweet tooth? Best of all, it only has 3 ingredients! Here’s how you can make my favorite treat: strawberry lemon sorbet. 🍓🍋 You can freeze fresh strawberries but I just bought one frozen bag to make my life easier. I blended this in a food processor but you can also try a powerful blender. You can store it in the freezer and let it thaw before enjoying but this is the best when eaten right away 😋 Ingredients: - 1lb bag or about 3 cups frozen strawberries - 1/4 cup fresh lemon juice—add more if needed - 1-2 tsp honey or more to taste Directions: - add frozen strawberries to a food processor along with fresh squeezed juice from lemons and honey and blend - be patient while blending, making sure to scrape the sides as you go, it can take a couple minutes to get the right consistency - for a softer sorbet enjoy here or freeze in a container for at least an hour or two for a thicker, more sorbet-like texture Yum, yum, give me some! Don't blame me if you get addicted. 😉 #sorbet #treatyourself
