#Gastronomy is in trouble! ⚡️⛈️⚡️ And nobody talks about it! #DEHOGA reports a decline in the gastronomy (real) sales ☹️ And Circana shows that the visits are down by approx. -3% 📉 (excluding February due to one additional day). But the #guests feel that the #restaurants are full and with high prices, they should earn a lot of money 💰 They don‘t realize that #gastronomy need more than one #seating per evening and that just a few fully booked days are not enough. Some ideas💡 what we can do about it? Additional #delivery and #virtualBrands? More #advertising? More #Differenciation? As a gastronomy-related business founder, I’m always studying new flavors to expand tastes in events curated by my project Sparkle. Recently I attended a course “Life with a Taste”. And how surprised I was when we made a lesson with embodiment practices! I was like - what?! We made a body scan practice, where you scan all the parts of your body, and a pleasure search one. Why? Because through body relaxation and activated parasympathetic system, we can feel much more. As much more mindful we feel our body, as much we feel different flavors. So simple and so remarkable idea. Try this simple practice this week with me: Just close your eyes, try to feel your body, and then try to find where do you feel the pleasure? After that when you have a delicious meal try to focus on your body. In which part of it you can feel the satisfaction? I found out, that mine is in cheeks :) This lesson I’m writing about, proofed for me one more time the importance of curating gastronomy projects in Sparkle. We help to expend the range of tastes. I’m loving it! Have you ever tried any of these practices? What do you think about it? #startupfounder #gastronomy #portugal #taste #events

Savoring the Essence: Secrets for an Unforgettable Gastronomic Experience ¿Why say yes? ✔ Living History through the Palate: Exploring gastronomy is deciphering the code of local identity, a journey where each flavor reveals an ancestral secret. ✔ Connection with the Earth: Choosing dishes that respect the natural cycle roots us with the Earth and its generosity, celebrating the harmony of the environment. ✔ Challenging the Limits of Taste: The daring to experiment beyond what is known gives us unique experiences, weaving unforgettable memories with each new tasting. ❌ Reasons to avoid: ❌ Underestimating the Charm of the Simple: Authenticity is often found in the modest, where the local soul is served in every bite. ❌ Neglecting the Ritual: Omitting reverence for culinary customs is like ignoring the heartbeat of a destination; each tradition is a bridge to its essence. ❌ Resistance to Change: Giving in to the fear of the unknown deprives us of the true essence of the journey, which lies in personal transformation through sensory exploration. Each of these principles is a critical piece in the mosaic of experiences that make up gastronomic tourism. At astuviaje gourmet, we invite you to embrace each of them, letting the flavors guide you on an unforgettable odyssey. #GastronomyAndTravel #CulturalConnection #SensoryTravel #CulinaryDiscovery #GastronomicWealth #PalateTransformation

🚨 Exciting Opportunity for Rum Aficionados & Business Collaborators! 🚨 Last night, I had the pleasure of tasting MarlinSpike, a disruptive force in premium rum. With Alex Darwazeh , the passionate founder, leading the charge, this brand is set to redefine the rum experience. Partnering with Foodpairing, the Michelin-starred experts in flavour, they have crafted three standout blends that are shaking up the market: 🌊 The Caribbean Blend (40% ABV) – The first rum designed to pair perfectly with tonic. This one is a mixologist’s dream! 🌊 The Atlantic Blend (44.5% ABV) – Warm, rich, anchored by 8YO Venezuelan rum, this is perfect for sipping or adding a touch of luxury to cocktails. 🌊 The Pacific Blend (55% ABV) – Featuring a blend of rums up to 23YO. Built to pair with cigars or to elevate your after-dinner moments, this blend includes younger Panamanian rum for a perfect balance. And a fitting tribute to Alex and my friend, James Espey, OBE All presented in heavy-weight decanters, MarlinSpike’s range reflects the quality inside, and it is already making waves across Europe and North America, with new markets on the horizon. 🌍 Here is the exciting part: There is no current representation in global duty-free or the UK market, and the potential for exclusive partnerships is massive. While they may not be a giant brand (yet!), the passion and authenticity are undeniable. Opportunities like this do not come around often so let us build something incredible together! If you are looking for a partner who values quality, collaboration, and storytelling, let’s talk! #PremiumRum #DutyFreeOpportunity #Foodpairing #Mixology #LuxuryRum #BrandPartnerships #MarlinSpike #GlobalExpansion #TasteTheDifference #SippingRum #CigarPairing

About Time - Food & Drink for Thought Liverpool’s food scene has long been described by media as “one of the most exciting in the UK” with new, immersive, quality food and drink venues popping up in some of the most unexpected places and capturing the attention of visitors, investors and corporates. For many of the world’s billions of tourists, gastronomy has become a central point of the tourism experience, a catalyst for the growing trend of food-motivated tourism. Liverpool is now positioned not only as a leading UK foodie destination, but as a global front runner – a sleeping giant of social and economic potential. We could see around the corner and planned ahead, launching Taste Liverpool.Drink Bordeaux - a strategy to get ahead of the competition, capitalising on a moment in time - but also on the alignment of the global brand of Liverpool and the worlds finest wine Vins de Bordeaux - CIVB. So brilliantly and creatively, public and private sector have worked in partnership to shift and challenge perceptions of place, whilst spotlighting our glorious hospitality sector and the wonderful people behind the plates. And now this - Liverpool, 11th Best Place in the World to eat out. I’ll drink to that 🍷 #destinationliverpool Paul Askew | Bill Addy | Culture Liverpool | Marketing Liverpool | Invest Liverpool | Liverpool City Council | Growth Platform | Liverpool City Region Combined Authority Donna Howitt | Barrington Paul Robinson | Eunice Obianagha | Faye Dyer | Nicola Said | Janet Nuzum | Pamela Carroll | VisitEngland | VisitBritain | phil nixon | Howard Lewis

🔍 Exploring Culinary Boundaries: Tako Tamago 🍳 🦑 The culinary world is buzzing with Japan's latest dish, tako tamago – a fusion of raw octopus eggs and quail egg. But before you wrinkle your nose at the thought of consuming raw eggs, consider this: tako tamago shares surprising similarities with a more familiar luxury ingredient – caviar. Both tako tamago and caviar involve consuming unfertilised eggs in their raw state. This innovative combination challenges our perceptions of tradition, modern gastronomy and has already conquered the international market, starting from Singapore. While some debate its cultural implications, it's undeniable that such creations push the boundaries of what’s possible on our plates. Are we ready to embrace such bold moves in our culinary experiences? Personally, I will skip this one, specially for a big respect to Mama Octopuses, as I read they are really in love with their octopus babies. #DigitalTourism #FoodTrends #Gastronomy #TraditionVsInnovation #FoodDisruptions #takotamago
