Major boost to Tees Valley tourism! 🍦🏨😎 Senior figures from across our region's fantastic tourist and hospitality sectors are joining forces to supercharge Tees Valley’s tourism offer and promote the area as a top visitor destination. 👊 A new board will advise on, establish and help lead projects, schemes and programmes that deliver real change and growth to our local visitor economy. The inaugural board meeting, held at Hopetown in Darlington, saw industry sector experts from the likes of Tees Active, British Cycling, Middlesbrough FC, National Trust and more 🙌 Following the Board meeting, over 90 representatives from tourism businesses and organisations joined for the first Visit Tees Valley Business Network for an evening of networking and insights from speakers in the industry. Aligned with VisitEngland English Tourism Week, our efforts coincide with a national push to spotlight Tees Valley's rich offerings, from its stunning coastline to historic landmarks. This milestone follows our region's recognition of Local Visitor Economy Partnership (LVEP) status, reinforcing our commitment to becoming a premier visitor destination alongside national counterparts.
