Public Sector Decarbonisation Scheme (PSDS) – Phase Four! Salix have released the details for Phase Four of PSDS. It aims to help public sector organisations to achieve net zero ambitions, including schools and academies, by providing the ability to access heat decarbonisation and energy efficient measures. Guidelines will be released this summer and details for the Low Carbon Skills Fund (LCSF) will be announced soon. LCSF provides grants to public sector bodies, giving them access to skills and expertise on heat decarbonisation. An important point to note is that Salix have stated they will move away from the ‘first come first severed’ approach when allocating funding. The £185m Phase 3 IETF Spring 2024 competition will aid industrial sites in England, Wales, and Northern Ireland to embrace low carbon futures. This grant supports sectors, such as, manufacturing, mining, and data centres in adopting energy-efficient and decarbonisation technologies. New for Phase 3, controlled environment horticulture and industrial laundry services are now eligible to apply. We welcome a new consultation on an onshore Humber Carbon Capture Pipeline (HCCP) that has been launched by the Northern Endurance Partnership (NEP), a partnership formed to deliver the infrastructure needed to capture carbon across Teesside and the Humber and transport it to offshore storage. 💭 ⚡ The HCCP is an important part of NEP’s proposed end-to-end carbon dioxide transportation and storage infrastructure network, which would transport and store carbon captured from projects like #BECCS at Drax. 🌍 This is critical in facilitating the successful development of BECCS at Drax - helping to achieve #netzero in the Humber, the UK’s most carbon intensive industrial region, as well as supporting thousands of jobs and protecting energy security. 👥 💡 👉 Read more in this announcement from the East Coast Cluster: https://lnkd.in/es4U4T_4
