Supporting customers for their industrial needs might be what we do, but supporting the PEOPLE in need in our local communities is who we are! Countless families have been impacted by Hurricane Beryl in the Houston area, including some of our own team who sustained damage to their homes. With our headquarters on the Gulf Coast, we know all-too-well the devastation that comes with a direct hit from a Hurricane, and the messy aftermath it leaves in its wake for years to come. But even in tragedies there are always those who rise up to the challenge. Often, the worst times can bring out the best in people. 💪 As Mr. Rogers would say: "Look for the helpers. You will always find people who are helping." Which brings us to the point of this post... ➡Houston, we're asking you to help us help the helpers! If you know of a local organization or non-profit that's doing great things to help in the aftermath of Beryl, please drop their names or tag them in the comments below. In addition to providing them with some well-deserved recognition, we'd like to reach out to some of them and see how EcoTech can help them! (Particularly those smaller organizations that don't come with bottomless budgets.) If you just want to give a shout-out to an individual you know who has been helping, please do that as well! #hurricaneberyl #beryl #houstonstrong #houston #houstontx #texas #prayforhouston #houstonhelp #nonprofits

Team Rubicon Myth #4: It is best to donate after disaster strikes, when needs are known. Over 14 years of TR's existence, we've built a team of volunteers with skills and training critical to alleviating suffering after disaster strikes. As an example, when a hurricane strikes, we'll have to perform sawyer work, heavy equipment will be needed to move debris, and core operation training will remove soaked materials before mold sets in. The reality is ANY delay in funding extends the recovery and the challenges for those impacted. Like I used to say in my days as a Topgun instructor, "Speed is Life". This holds true for tornadoes, fires, floods, and hurricanes. Today Hurricane Beryl is projected to be a major hurricane - it's in the news - and it will likely have impact. Consider donating today to fuel Beryl and every mission that our 180 thousand volunteers tackle - I know Team Rubicon will be responding as we have all year. Beryl could be our 50th operation year-to-date. To donate, please visit teamrubiconusa.org/give #BuiltToServe #GSD #MakeHurricanePreparationsNow

With the start of hurricane season, being less than a week away now is the perfect time to check on what supplies you currently have so that you have time to restock. Here are 3 things you can check for: 💊 Check to see if any of the emergency supplies have expired. Some medications may be less potent after the expiration date. 💗 Check to make sure all supplies are age appropriate. If your family has grown, you may need additional supplies. 🧽 Make sure nothing is damaged or leaking in your supply container. For example, batteries can corrode over time, and packaged goods can open by accident. If you need assistance with organization, unpacking, or preparing for a move, book your FREE consultation today. #hurricane #storm #season #getorganized #declutter #purge #donate #organizingpro #homeorganizer #houstonhomeorganizer #professionalorganizerhouston #hireaprofessionalorganizer #blackprofessionalorganizers #womenowned #NABPO #NAPO #Texas #harriscounty #montgomerycounty #galvestoncounty #iOrganize #YouMatter2Us #fyp #foryou https://lnkd.in/gNMhHxTC

Tropical Storm Ernesto is battering Puerto Rico. Team Rubicon is there. Back in September 2017, Hurricane Maria struck Puerto Rico. In the wake of the devastation, Team Rubicon rebuilt over 500 roofs to the highest standards. This #investment was made possible by supporters like GAF and the Steven & Alexandra Cohen Foundation, along with a strong partnership with #FEMA, St Vincent dePaul, and contractors throughout the island. In a year, the team built over 500 hurricane rated roofs that keep families dry and protected from the storms year after year. Watch to see how we did it. As a “#for_impact” organization, TR is dedicated to expressing gratitude to those who invest in our mission. Unlike simply donating, investing signifies a long-term commitment where the funds continue to make a positive impact into the future. #INVESTMENT: Our volunteers keep enhancing their skills and abilities, returning each year to help those in need. We now have over 170,000. #INVESTMENT: Our services transform lives by reducing stress, maintaining value, facilitating a quicker return to normalcy, and building resilience for future challenges. Children rest safely in a rebuilt home. Families can concentrate on what matters when fallen trees are cleared. Homes do not become mold-infested when they are properly cleaned out. Be a part of something big and lasting. In light of the increasing frequency of natural disasters, Walmart's recent initiative to deploy disaster response mobile units is commendable. These units, operated by skilled nonprofit professionals, have already significantly impacted Northwest Arkansas, offering essential services like hot meals, clean laundry, hot showers, and charging stations with Wi-Fi. Walmart's proactive approach, driven by a strong sense of corporate responsibility, provides immediate relief and strengthens community resilience, demonstrating the power of businesses in action. This is a prime example of how companies can make a meaningful difference and build stronger connections with the communities they serve. As businesses, if we promote initiatives that help communities thrive, we contribute to those communities' social and economic well-being, build a more substantial, loyal base, and create a positive impact that enhances our corporate reputation. #business #community #companies #RSE #social #responsibility

As a company deeply committed to Latin America, we remain dedicated to raising awareness and gathering support for those suffering from the impact of Hurricane Otis in Mexico. While its news coverage is gradually fading, we cannot forget the profound suffering endured by the people of Acapulco, Guerrero. The hurricane's fury demolished critical infrastructure, cut off basic services, and tragically resulted in casualties and missing individuals. The situation is dire, and the people of Acapulco are enduring unimaginable hardships. Due to the severe lack of food, water, and essential supplies, the desperation of the affected communities has escalated. Vandalism has ravaged the commercial stores in Acapulco to the point where there are no longer any shops to purchase much-needed provisions. We ask you to continue donating and sending your thoughts and prayers to those affected by Hurricane Otis in Mexico. Your generosity and compassion can make a significant difference in the lives of those who have lost so much.
