For both young and older Restaurant Owners You cannot do without the ability to 📝give Feedback that is Specific and Descriptive to your employees Sometimes, proper communication is all you need to skyrocket your employees productivity. 👩🍳As a restaurant owner, you can't do without learning how to give feedback that is concrete and specific. Your directives should tell the staff exactly what he or she is doing well/wrong and what needs improvement. For example, saying, “You did a good job at the desk today” may make an employee feel good, but it will certainly not help them understand exactly what you feel was performed well. You could provide more information by saying, “You did a good job serving customers really fast today. You sliced the beef very evenly today, and/or I love the way you always asked the customers for their preferences before serving, kudos to you Michael.” It doesn't take more than these to begin your journey towards better Restaurant Leadership and team building! Do you know the difference between a decision and a choice? I shared this insight with a private client yesterday and it's been a game changer when it comes to her delegation, so I thought I'd share it here too. When you go out to a restaurant, and you sit and peruse the menu only to find that nothing is striking your fancy... you can leave. It is your choice to remain in that restaurant and eat there, or to leave and find another restaurant. Yet, whether you leave or not - you have made the decision to eat. Great leaders make decisions and let their team make choices. Game changer.

A piece of advice for food and beverage professionals, managers, and leaders: Don't use cost control management as a tool to make decisions, Use it as a tool to monitor your business performance. The F&B industry never grows while managing it through calculators. It grows while managed by and for the people. . . #foodandbeverage #restaurant #hospitality #training #development #tourism #education #growth #businessdevelopment #coaching #training

🌟 Developing Our Team at the Heart of Service 🌟 In the sometimes chaotic world of hospitality, the strength of a restaurant lies in its team. I believe that investing in our team's growth is not just beneficial, but essential. Here’s why: 1. **Skill Enhancement:** Continuous training in customer service, culinary techniques, and safety standards ensures that our team not only meets but exceeds industry standards. This commitment to excellence is reflected in the quality of our dishes and the smiles of our satisfied customers. 2. **Empowerment:** By empowering our staff with the knowledge and skills they need to succeed, we foster a culture of confidence and autonomy. Empowered teams are more engaged, take initiative, and contribute creatively to problem-solving and innovation. 3. **Team Cohesion:** Regular team-building activities and training sessions help strengthen bonds among our staff. A cohesive team understands the importance of supporting one another, which is crucial in a fast-paced restaurant environment. 4. **Adaptability:** The restaurant industry is ever-evolving. Developing our team ensures we remain adaptable, able to tackle new challenges and seize opportunities as they arise. 5. **Retention and Attraction:** A well-developed team is a happy team, and a happy team stays longer. Moreover, a reputation for nurturing talent makes our restaurant a magnet for the industry's best. I’m committed to not just serving great food, but also cultivating a great place to work. Join us on this journey of growth and excellence. Together, we can set new standards for what it means to be truly ‘exceptional’ in the world of hospitality. #Hospitality #TeamDevelopment #RestaurantLife #Leadership #GrowthMindset
