Swad Wealth Management’s Post

"Once you learn how to die, you learn how to live..." In the book, "Tuesdays with Morrie," Morrie Schwartz was faced with ALS, often referred to as Lou Gehrig's disease. As his body was degenerating, Morrie emphasized the importance of acknowledging the reality of death and using that understanding to prioritize what truly matters in life. Often times, these are matters of love, relationships, connection, and personal growth. It might mean making an impact on others. While I never want to see anyone have to face something like ALS, like Morrie did, I hope you are doing all you can to live your most fulfilled life. It's why I ask three important questions to each of my clients so we can unearth everything important to them and then prioritize those elements. About 70% of the time, the third question is where people really get clear. And while the question is simple, it's not always the easiest to answer. So what is the third question? "The doctor shocks you with the news that you only have one day left to live. Notice what feelings arise as you front your very real mortality... Ask yourself: -What did I miss? -What did I not get to be? -What did I not get to do?"
