At #SCAGroup, safety is our number one priority, which is why we are proud supporters of "No Falls Week" - a week-long campaign dedicated to promoting safe working at height. This initiative aims to educate employees about the consequences of falls from height and how to prevent them, making sure everyone goes home to their families safe and well. #FallsFromHeight are a leading cause of Workplace Fatalities in the UK, with 40 people losing their lives due to falls in 2022/2023 alone. This statistic is alarming, which is why initiatives like No Falls Week are so important. Rideshare services, taxis, or carpooling with a sober driver are great options. Let someone know your plans and check in if plans change. 2️⃣Stay Aware👁️ Be mindful of your surroundings, whether at a gathering or out in public. Keep an eye on personal belongings and stay with trusted friends or family. 3️⃣Drink Responsibly🍹 If you choose to drink, know your limits and pace yourself. Stay hydrated by drinking water throughout the evening. 4️⃣Fireworks Safety🎆 Only use legal fireworks and follow all safety guidelines. Keep fireworks away from children, pets, and flammable objects. 5️⃣Keep Warm🧣 Dress appropriately for cold temperatures, especially if spending time outdoors.
