The 26th edition of the conference, Maglev 2024,- THE WORLD LEADING CONFERENCE ON MAGNETICALLY LEVITATED SYSTEMS AND LINEAR DRIVES with focus on ”Technological Advances and Future Impact Assessments occured this year, on September 18-22. Since its inception in 1977, this conference is helding every two-three years, bringing together experts and enthusiasts from around the globe. According to sources present at the event, 130 researchers were present, and a number of them exchanged views on the significant progress made in research. “Asia is building or will build high-speed Maglev lines (trains that have no wheels but levitate thanks to magnetism). Be careful not to confuse Hyperloop and Maglev; both levitate, but hyperloop travels in vacuum tubes. In Brazil, a 200m test line has been set up with a small vehicle levitated by superconductors. This innovative levitation system is more stable than the electromagnets previously used. Elsewhere in the world, projects for test tracks and studies for commercial lines are progressing. Technology is now sufficiently advanced to authenticate visions and perspectives in a unified field of all possibilities. While technical progress is well settled, when it comes to financing, the bold, courageous and committed lights remain dim on the way to infinite deployment and unlimited prosperity thanks to this advanced technology, at the service of quantum reality state and integrity of everything and everyone on Mother Earth. Asia seems less concerned by this issue, as its Leaders have decided to invest on this type of transport technology for the profit and benefic of their countries. This inevitably leads to the development of lines. In Europe, many people still believe that Maglev will dethrone the railroads. However, these systems are complementary and have a number of qualities to support mixed mobility in the service of balanced and harmonious living conditions for the sustainable and integrated evolutionary mobility of Humanity. In Switzerland, the implementation of a new transport network is being studied to clarify properties and contributions of global improvement for existence and the vast infinite creative potential lying dormant. 🕵♀️ The world of mobility is full of many alternative solutions already existing and available to restore Harmony according to Universal Cosmic Laws. The Deutsches Zentrum für Luft-und Raumfahrt e.V. test environment #BALIS is now up and running! 🛫 We put the BALIS test field in Empfingen into operation on 28 October 2024. We'll be using this unique test infrastructure to develop and test innovative propulsion systems based on hydrogen fuel cells with an output in the megawatt range. These propulsion systems aren't yet commercially available, but they could be used in the future in ship propulsion and, in the long term, in aviation to enable CO2-free mobility. Planning a test environment is one thing. Making it run is something else – especially if you're designing it from scratch. As Steve Jobs put it: "Great things in business are never done by one person. A team of people does them." No, this isn’t sci-fi. Meet Reflect Orbital, the company that literally reflects on how to light up your nights—with sunlight! As part of my research project, I stumbled upon this unique company. Reflect Orbital is revolutionizing the way we experience light by capturing the sun's energy and beaming it back to Earth after sunset. Using state-of-the-art space mirrors, the company is creating a sustainable source of light that can be used long after the sun has set. How it works: The company operates a series of mirrors that orbit the planet, redirecting sunlight to targeted areas, offering sustainable, eco-friendly illumination when needed most. Applications: This technology can reduce energy consumption in cities, provide light for nighttime construction, or illuminate remote areas with limited electricity access. Anyone can apply for some sunlight, with delivery promised by Q4 2025. The light reflection lasts 4 minutes and covers a diameter of 5 km, say their website. Member of German Parliament Renata Alt and member of State Parliament of Baden-Wuerttemberg Dennis Birnstock on summer tour at #cellcentric. Renata Alt met with Nicholas Loughlan, Chief Technology Officer of cellcentric, to exchange experiences at the cellcentric headquarters in Kirchheim/Teck-Nabern. The focus was on the core principles of our development work and industrial pilot production, which more than 560 highly qualified employees in Kirchheim, Esslingen, Stuttgart and Burnaby (Canada) drive forward on a daily basis. The role of cellcentric as a key driver in the decarbonization of global heavy-duty long-haul transportation by truck and the strong roots of cellcentric and its employees in the region were also discussed. Central challenges were also on the list of topics - the shortage of skilled workers, high labor costs and massive energy costs in Germany. The latter have a direct impact on the production of hydrogen. Nicholas Loughlan therefore called for clear and reliable framework conditions and openness to technology from politicians. Renata Alt was particularly interested in the development of fuel cell production. "In view of the changed international geopolitical situation, it is extremely important to strengthen Germany as a business location," emphasized the MP. "For us as FDP parliamentary group in the German Parliament, it is important to drive forward the further reduction of bureaucracy and create framework conditions for the preservation of jobs and investment." Dennis Birnstock visited our state-of-the-art, industrialized fuel cell pilot production in Esslingen-Pliensauvorstadt. In conversation with Andrea Engelen, Global Head of External Affairs & Government Relations at cellcentric, he was interested in the key fuel cell technology in the context of decarbonization, current challenges in the production and transport of green hydrogen and the status of the scaling of fuel cells and associated truck fleets. During a tour of the production facility, he also examined details of fuel cell components and industrialized production. "It was impressive to see how a key mobility technology is being anchored here in the Esslingen district with passion and expertise and how production capacities are being built up. A visit to a company like cellcentric, whose activities symbolize a kind of awakening and which is an important player in the district - and worldwide - was a must on my summer tour. My expectations were far exceeded. I would like to thank Ms. Engelen and her colleagues for the enriching exchange and for allowing me to gain an insight into production, systems and processes at such an early stage," Dennis Birnstock sums up. "It goes without saying that I will incorporate the political demands into my political work. What I have learned encourages me to continue to fight for relief and less bureaucracy so that new barriers and mountains of paper are not constantly placed in the way of such progress projects."
