Ecological and Economic Factors in #Closure Production: How to Address Raising Demands In a case study on the production of flat water closures, Michael Fink and Gregor Degasperi from z-moulds gmbh will demonstrate how the demanding requirements of closure production can be met. In a price-sensitive market, closure weight and operational output are the key challenges to be targeted. With the latest development from z-moulds, they have been able to reduce the weight of the closure by approximately 25% and at the same time increase the output by more than 50%. Don’t miss this exciting z-moulds presentation at #PETnologyEurope2024 and register today! #PETnologyEurope2024 #connectingcomPETence #PET #closuretechnology #closuremoulds ⬇️Please find the registration link in the comments. ⬇️

In an interview with CNA at Ecosperity Week 2024, RGE’s Vice-Chairman Bey Soo Khiang spoke about RGE’s role in the bioeconomy. By growing our plantations to surround the conservation areas, we prevent illegal encroachment and poaching. At the same time, we provide jobs for the communities and biodegradable raw materials that replace plastics. Through our 1-for-1 commitment to conserve 1 hectare of natural forests with every hectare of plantation, we can be nature-neutral or even nature-positive. By committing $1 to a conservation fund for every ton of wood that we bring to the mill, we also ensure that there is consistent and sustainable funding for our conservation and restoration efforts. He also reaffirmed the company’s commitment to zero deforestation and proactive approach in maintaining third-party checks and balances, such as the formation of an independent advisory panel to audit its operations and ground-truthing any allegations. How to remove #PFAS with Sustainable Technical Solutions - The ZeroPM test site in Rastatt Lukas Lesmeister from the the German Water Center TZW: DVGW-Technologiezentrum Wasser takes you on a tour of the Rauental waterworks Stadtwerke Rastatt GmbH, which has a pilot plant to remove PFAS from the heavily contaminated Rastatt region. One key approach being developed is a hybrid approach to combine granular active carbon #GAC and a regenerative ion-exchange resin to remove both the hydrophobic and hydrophilic PFAS from water. Key to making this approach sustainable is that this is being developed to extend the life of the granular activated carbon and to recycle the ion-exchange resin, so that as little sorption material is needed as possible. https://lnkd.in/d5TQ3Kxx

After 25 years dedicated to keeping people safe for them to go home every day, I am thrilled to say that I have shifted focus to help protect Mother Earth. Introducing Green Boom, a new manufacturer that we represent across this great nation of ours. For too long oil spill cleanup has mainly been done with polypropylene-based absorbents. A plastic waste issue that is seldom spoken about, but annually generates 8000 tons of oil-soaked plastics that end up in landfills around the world, taking years to break down into microplastics. The founders of Green Boom never thought that made sense. Through extensive research and testing starting in Atlanta 2019, the founders Sudhir Sharma, Phd and Yulin Deng, Phd, developed a lineup of innovative and 100% biodegradable products. Absorbents that clean the environment, just as well as the polypropylene equivalents, but without generating waste. That's how we got our name, we make Green Booms, simple as that. So #Canada won't you join us in taking oil to soil and embracing environmentally friendly solutions! James Steele Kevin Schmidt Chanda S.
