The Ghana Chamber of Mines today 18th September 2024 held a stakeholder engagement with the traditional authorities, civil society organisations, academia and the assemblies in the Upper East Region to discuss how to leverage the presence of a mine for sustainable development in the region. The Director of External Relations and Communications at the Chamber, Mr. Ahmed Nantogmah shared a presentation on the initiatives of the Chamber aimed at promoting sustainable development through responsible mining. On Wednesday 11th September 2024, the Ghana Chamber of Mines welcomed a delegation from Malawi at its Secretariat. The delegation, comprising officials from Malawi's Mining Regulatory Authority, Ministry of Finance, Ministry of Mining, and an advisor, visited to gain insights into the Chamber's structure and operations. The Minerals Commission facilitated the meeting, aimed at sharing best practices and knowledge to support Malawi's mining sector.
