The Ghana Chamber of Mines is the main minerals industry association in Ghana. The Chamber represents the collective interests of companies involved in mineral exploration, production and processing in Ghana. Its activities are entirely funded by its member companies, which produce majority of Ghana’s mineral output. The Chamber has represented the industry’s interests since 1928. Vision To be a respected, effective and unified voice for the mining industry. Mission Statement To represent the Mining Industry in Ghana using the resources and capabilities of its members to deliver services that address members, government and community needs, in order to enhance development.

The Ghana Chamber of Mines today 18th September 2024 held a stakeholder engagement with the traditional authorities, civil society organisations, academia and the assemblies in the Upper East Region to discuss how to leverage the presence of a mine for sustainable development in the region. The Director of External Relations and Communications at the Chamber, Mr. Ahmed Nantogmah shared a presentation on the initiatives of the Chamber aimed at promoting sustainable development through responsible mining. Dr. Steve Manteaw, Co-Chair of GHEITI further shared a presentation on the opportunities stakeholders could leverage for local economic development. #mining #stakeholderengagement #development #ghanachamberofmines

On Wednesday 11th September 2024, the Ghana Chamber of Mines welcomed a delegation from Malawi at its Secretariat. The delegation, comprising officials from Malawi's Mining Regulatory Authority, Ministry of Finance, Ministry of Mining, and an advisor, visited to gain insights into the Chamber's structure and operations. The Minerals Commission facilitated the meeting, aimed at sharing best practices and knowledge to support Malawi's mining sector.
