One Health advocates that human, environmental, and animal health are closely interlinked and that interventions should actively consider these interlinkages to achieve larger impacts. Similarly, the water–energy–food–ecosystems (WEFE) nexus promotes systems thinking to reduce the costs of trade-offs and achieve synergies. However, to date, these two approaches have largely operated separately. This webinar by the CGIAR Initiative on NEXUS Gains will discuss two case studies where these systems overlap. The first case study links built surface water storage systems with human health, while the second assesses the WEFE nexus of the rice-fisheries system. This will be followed by a discussion of the challenges and opportunities of systems approaches to achieve real impact. Join the webinar on April 11 and hear from Dr Eline Boelee and Dr Matthew McCartney: https://bit.ly/4ajatOu International Water Management Institute (IWMI) Deltares #OneCGIAR #NEXUSGainsInitiative #OneHealth #WEFE #WEFEnexus
