Are you and your organization frozen in time? Concerned about what "might" happen so you don't... Invest in new products. Pursue new lines of business. Hire new employees to fill vacancies. In other words, you're frozen in time. But chances are your competition whether it be those whom you have competed against for years or new disruptors, are definitely not standing still. In reality, the most dangerous thing you can do for your team, your company and your career is to do nothing and remain frozen in time. And if that isn't scary enough for you, consider this. If you were frozen in the fashion of the 80's, you would be... Rocking a mullet or big hair. Wearing parachute pants or Zubaz. Wearing coats with shoulder pads. Wearing many different neon colors. None of that was a good look then and it certainly wouldn't work now. So, if you don't want ot be that person stuck in time, wearing really ugly fashions, make the investment and grow.
