🎓 We're quickly heading into the time of year where those who look after graduate intake programmes will be at their busiest. End of August, early September is prime time for graduate recruitment, and its important to partner with a venue finding expert who really understands these events. Top tips from Louise are: 🔢 While an accountancy firm might want to recruit 650 graduates, the reality is the number may well be more like 500. Make sure you work with suppliers who understand you need a degree of flexibility - look for flexible minimum numbers and a portion of bedrooms on an allocation basis. Graduates may well have more than one offer on the table, change is likely! 🏨 Look for a venue where your school or university leavers can all be under one roof. There is a duty of care towards graduates, you'll want to make sure they're looked after and not scattered around several venues, especially in a city. Of course some venues that are not city centre based like Warwick Conferences offers everything in one location, so this is a good alternative. 🥪 The usual three course sit down meal option doesn't work well for grad intake programmes. Often they'll be working in the evening so something like buffet or grazing boards are a more flexible way to ensure everyone is kept fed and refreshed in a way which works for them. If you're running a programme this year, we hope all goes well. 🙂 If you're looking for next year's venue or even into 2026 and need a partner who really understands these events drop us a line - we know them inside out! 👏 #graduateintake #venuefinding #expertadvice

🌟 Reflecting on a Recent Conversation 🌟 During a discussion with some seniors, a person, who wasn't even from our college, remarked me that students like us pursuing B.Tech in CSE often end up working in hotels post-degree. While it's not an issue to work in any field, it's a broad generalization that's not applicable to all of us. Many students today are not just studying for marks but are passionately working hard every day to evolve their personality and skills. There are definitely some loopholes in the management of higher authorities and among students. Unfortunately, many are working purely for monetary gains rather than following their interests. What's more concerning is the diminishing spirit of ambition and passion in today's generation. It's essential to reignite the drive to pursue one's true interests and make meaningful contributions. Let's work together to inspire and support each other to follow our passions and evolve continuously. 💪 #PersonalGrowth #HigherEducation #PassionOverProfit #Inspiration #StudentLife

As a young person, I always wanted to make a change in community and give hope to the hopeless to stand up for themselves. As a graduate in Tourism Hospitality and Events Management. The industry we serve is of high maintenance , and it's always difficult for new entry to thrive in. Even though there's platforms that inspire and advocate youth in tourism to innovate , young people in the industry are setback. And this starts from the very beginning of WIL placement of being an undergraduate. Students are not fully involved in the industry to strategies and captivate just as the education advocate. Most of the students who did tourism during WIL they mostly take up low position in the industry such as waitress, bartender, kitchen and this mostly happened because the businesses are family owned and Government entities barely take in students for WIL. So that's why we have cases of people that are currently thriving in Tourism industry and taking up positions are people from Business administrative, marketing, accounting etc. And these are same people we set together in exam halls for the same modules in Entrepreneurship. So what are we saying? Is there a gap in knowledge ? No! So what are we doing with the skills and knowledge imparted into us? How are we going to take up the space and sit in our position?#NamibiaTourismClub #jointheproject
