It is the career week going on at Red Hat from 9-12 Sept. It is a fantastic opportunity to learn from peers and seniors on everything related to your career at Red Hat or in general. Following are the interesting themes for each particular day of the week - Change as Opportunity: Transform challenges into possibilities; drive your career forward by building the skills of tomorrow. - Career Mobility and Change: Elevate your career by embracing mobility and adapting to change, unlocking new paths to success. - Cultivating Connections: Build meaningful relationships and expand your network to drive your career forward. - Exploring Diverse Career Paths- Discover diverse career opportunities and find your path to professional growth and fulfillment. Beyond the above themes there are various training sessions we can enrol into. I have enrolled myself for - Building your brand - Expanding your network Some of things I personally liked about this career week are: - Opportunity to listen to ideas by global peers and share your thoughts as well. - Specifically about networking, the importance given to LinkedIn and even the leadership team supporting that. - A very positive focus on either growing in your current role or internal mobility into other roles within Red Hat. It is super informative and super helpful. #redhat #careerweek

Huge honour to have a fireside conversation with Neil Davis - Hewlett Packard Enterprise (NonStop) GM EMEA and Latin America. My key insights and takeaways: · Neil sees his job is to free up his team's time so they can do what is important - on helping customers and customers, customers. · Being honest and real with people matters, to create a thriving culture. · When recruiting and building teams, getting the balance between a level of expertise and maturity within a team, combined with benefiting from using an intern system. · Giving new hires exposure to broad customer base is a pragmatic solution that has given a strong return on investment. · Navigation around large complex businesses is a vital skill and a combination of being curious and having informal/liquid networks. Companies are constantly reorganizing, people changing roles, so to get things done we have to be able to tap into our internal networks, not just the hard structure. · Neil content with the decisions he has made to manage his career and life. That content outlook is rare in my experience.

What have you learned since you started your position???? We are celebrating everything February at Digital Edge today. We are celebrating our people, our work, our business and all those that engage with Digital Edge. The theme of the day has been 2 pronged. 1. Not settling for second best. it isn't about being 1st, it's about asking how we can be better. 2. Perspective. It is important to know how far we have come so that we can understand how far we can go. An amazing team session where I asked each of the team the question... What has been the biggest lesson you have learned since you started your position here at DE? Here are my teams answers and I LOVE it! - I can learn anything - The power of TEAM - I am more capable than I thought - I can talk to people and be listened to - I didn't think I was as adaptable - I didn't think I would be able to build the size of the systems I am now. - I am only ever a second or decision away from a change. I'm a second away from being anything and doing anything. WOW! Like, WOW! Incredible realisations. I am officially blown away by my teams reaction to this question. There was no huffing and puffing, no uncertainty and everyone answered with real conviction. What have YOU learned since you started YOUR position? GO!!!! Have a great weekend😘

👋Say hello to Colin Madigan, our next G2er taking the stage for our monthly #EmployeeSpotlight series! Colin is a Talent Acquisition Manager based in Chicago. Learn more about him👇 ⭐𝗪𝗵𝘆 & 𝘄𝗵𝗲𝗻 𝗱𝗶𝗱 𝘆𝗼𝘂 𝗷𝗼𝗶𝗻 𝗚𝟮? On April Fool’s Day in 2019 (and was only a little worried it was all an elaborate prank). ⭐𝗪𝗵𝗮𝘁 𝗮𝘀𝗽𝗲𝗰𝘁 𝗼𝗳 𝘆𝗼𝘂𝗿 𝗿𝗼𝗹𝗲 𝗱𝗼 𝘆𝗼𝘂 𝗳𝗶𝗻𝗱 𝗺𝗼𝘀𝘁 𝗳𝘂𝗹𝗳𝗶𝗹𝗹𝗶𝗻𝗴? I’ve always loved working closely with the leaders I’ve supported. When I first joined G2 5 years ago, I felt true partnership from my stakeholders and that my perspective was valued. It’s easy for recruiting to be an “order-taking” job, but here you’re a core part of the strategy and decision-making. ⭐𝗛𝗼𝘄 𝘄𝗼𝘂𝗹𝗱 𝘆𝗼𝘂 𝗱𝗲𝘀𝗰𝗿𝗶𝗯𝗲 𝗚𝟮’𝘀 𝗰𝘂𝗹𝘁𝘂𝗿𝗲 𝗶𝗻 𝟯 𝘄𝗼𝗿𝗱𝘀? Driven, Committed, Balance ⭐𝗪𝗵𝗮𝘁 𝗮𝗰𝗰𝗼𝗺𝗽𝗹𝗶𝘀𝗵𝗺𝗲𝗻𝘁 𝗮𝗿𝗲 𝘆𝗼𝘂 𝗺𝗼𝘀𝘁 𝗽𝗿𝗼𝘂𝗱 𝗼𝗳 𝗳𝗿𝗼𝗺 𝘆𝗼𝘂𝗿 𝘁𝗶𝗺𝗲 𝗮𝘁 𝗚𝟮? I always get a surge of pride when someone I helped hire wins a PEAK award. It’s a clear way to see the value of my work at G2. I’m also so proud of our Intern Program here at G2. We’re now in our 4th year and it’s gone from a small remote pilot program with 5 interns to a global hybrid program of 17. As the program has grown, my peers - Sarah Erwin & Nora Kawaguchi in AMER and Ashish Sahu in APAC - have been critical to scaling the program. ⭐𝗕𝗮𝘀𝗲𝗱 𝗼𝗻 𝗹𝗲𝘀𝘀𝗼𝗻𝘀 𝗹𝗲𝗮𝗿𝗻𝗲𝗱 𝗳𝗿𝗼𝗺 𝘆𝗼𝘂𝗿 𝗽𝗿𝗼𝗳𝗲𝘀𝘀𝗶𝗼𝗻𝗮𝗹 𝗷𝗼𝘂𝗿𝗻𝗲𝘆 𝘁𝗵𝘂𝘀 𝗳𝗮𝗿, 𝘄𝗵𝗮𝘁’𝘀 𝟭 𝗽𝗶𝗲𝗰𝗲 𝗼𝗳 𝗮𝗱𝘃𝗶𝗰𝗲 𝘆𝗼𝘂 𝘄𝗼𝘂𝗹𝗱 𝗼𝗳𝗳𝗲𝗿 𝗼𝘁𝗵𝗲𝗿𝘀 𝘄𝗵𝗲𝗻 𝗶𝘁 𝗰𝗼𝗺𝗲𝘀 𝘁𝗼 𝗰𝗮𝗿𝗲𝗲𝗿 𝗮𝗱𝘃𝗮𝗻𝗰𝗲𝗺𝗲𝗻𝘁? Don’t let your routine become stagnant. Growing in your career is like any important relationship in your life. If you’re not being present and communicative, it’s easy to get in a rut. Be intentional and find opportunities to keep things fresh. 💫 Thanks for sharing, Colin! Stay tuned & get to know more of our amazing G2ers in the coming months! 💫

Product Manager and Customer Success Lead at SHC | I help Health Clubs sell more and reduce labor costs.
Time really flies! Last week marked my fourth anniversary at SHC, and reflecting on this journey, I'm struck by how rich and transformative these years have been. I'm sharing this post not just to celebrate a personal milestone but because the insights I've gained across different roles at SHC are too valuable not to share. These experiences have deeply influenced my professional path, and I believe they can inspire and guide many of you in your own careers. Over these four years, I've worn three distinct hats—𝗖𝘂𝘀𝘁𝗼𝗺𝗲𝗿 𝗦𝘂𝗰𝗰𝗲𝘀𝘀, 𝗧𝗲𝗰𝗵, 𝗮𝗻𝗱 𝗦𝗮𝗹𝗲𝘀. Each role offered unique challenges and learning opportunities that have profoundly shaped my approach to business. ▶ In 𝗖𝘂𝘀𝘁𝗼𝗺𝗲𝗿 𝗦𝘂𝗰𝗰𝗲𝘀𝘀, my goal was to deeply understand our software and ensure our customers felt supported and valued. This role underscored the importance of listening attentively and solving problems effectively, which are crucial skills in any customer-facing job. ▶ Transitioning to 𝗧𝗲𝗰𝗵, I collaborated closely with our development team to enhance our product based on real user feedback. This experience taught me the importance of innovation and simplicity in creating tech solutions that not only function well but are also user-friendly. ▶ In 𝗦𝗮𝗹𝗲𝘀, I learned to simplify our complex tech talk into clear, client-friendly language. It was all about connecting our products to real-world needs and helping clients see the tangible benefits we offer, without getting bogged down in jargon. Now, I'm really excited to share what I've learned from these three different perspectives. They've not only helped me grow professionally but also given me a well-rounded view of our business. I think these insights could be super helpful for others in our industry too. A huge thanks to my incredible team for supporting me throughout this journey! I’m looking forward to sharing more, learning more, and connecting with all of you.
