As we wrap up our Global Career Month here at The Coca-Cola Company, I wanted to share a couple of pieces of advice that have helped me to invest in myself and my career over the years: ➡️ Regularly assess your skill set to make sure you’re staying relevant for the world around you. We all need to continuously upskill, and in this increasingly digital world, the skills we have today may not necessarily get where we want to be tomorrow. Throughout Career Month, I was particularly inspired by session about how we can use Chat GPT Personas for career and development delivered by my colleague Frik Brits. It’s clear that those of us who learn how to embrace Generative AI and use it to our advantage, will be the ones who will thrive in the long run! So brush off your development plan, and consider where you can nurture your strengths, or plug some of the gaps. ➡️ Make time to be inspired! There are many sources of inspiration around us, when we take the time to look. For me, I take most inspiration from my colleagues and my wider network. Just this week, I spent time at an HR Conference in Berlin, sharing knowledge and learning from others. And I also loved the career stories we created for our leaders across #CocaColaEurope this month, to showcase the many varied ways we can gain experiences throughout our career. Make sure to carve out time for networking events, conferences, internal events that offer moments of connection, or spending time in the market with colleagues – you will be surprised just how much you will learn! ➡️ Step out of your comfort zone! It’s true that fortune favors the brave. Throughout my career, I’ve taken leaps of fate by moving countries, roles, functions and industries. It is a sure way to accelerate your career and will offer you transferable skills and business insights that you could never have imagined. Day Three Complete with Bright Network! 🚀 This morning, we had keynotes and building mental resilience in challenging times talk with Sara Jones who works as a mobile operations director for the BT Group. Sara told us about her windy road to be becoming a director with BT Group, Sara Jones explained her journey through graduate schemes and different jobs with failure and learning along the way. 🛣 Key notes to take away: - Change is adaptable. ☘ - Have a hunger to learn when moving into a career. 💻 - Take those jumps, get out your comfort zone and challenge those challenges. 💡 - Challenges and failure does not define you, its about how you deal with them and how you adapt. 🖋 - Take time to reflect on the past and be proud of yourself, furthermore, look at what you can improve. 🤞 - Hard work pays off. 🏋♂️ - Failure is good, the most successful people have dealt with failure. It’s all about how you adapt, change and respond to the failure. 💬 - Stay open minded. 👏 - Work hard. ✍ - Be kind. 🤗 Throughout the rest of the morning and afternoon it was our time to focus on our work samples for British Airways Better World Project. This project consists of creating a pitch for a new partnership that aligns to British Airways sustainability strategy. Tomorrow we hand our work samples into Bright Network and then receive our Certificates, I can't believe how lucky I have been to be able to experience this internship and work with so many amazing companies.

As we bid farewell to another year, I can't help but reflect on the whirlwind of experiences and transformations that defined the past months. Another year filled with challenges, victories, and the constant rhythm of change. Amidst it all, I've learned the value of authentic leadership during these challenging times. Supporting my team through thick and thin has been vital for our collective resilience. Workplaces now focus on attraction rather than coercion, aiming to create environments that naturally draw talent, spur innovation and foster collaboration. Personally, seeing my daughter start her career and my son embark on his apprenticeship fills me with immense pride. Cisco Switzerland's win of the Great Place to Work award in 2023 was a rewarding culmination of our team's dedicated efforts. Looking ahead, the industry demands simplification. We're preparing to streamline operations, leveraging artificial intelligence while prioritising ethical AI and a strong governance framework. Our quest for progress relies on the "everything-as-a-service" model, streamlining IT operations and boosting overall efficiency. As we enter the next phase, I'm thrilled by the opportunities on the horizon. Here's to the New Year! #NewYear #Reflections #Leadership #Innovation

Huge honour to have a fireside conversation with Neil Davis - Hewlett Packard Enterprise (NonStop) GM EMEA and Latin America. My key insights and takeaways: ·       Neil sees his job is to free up his team's time so they can do what is important - on helping customers and customers, customers. ·       Being honest and real with people matters, to create a thriving culture. ·       When recruiting and building teams, getting the balance between a level of expertise and maturity within a team, combined with benefiting from using an intern system. ·       Giving new hires exposure to broad customer base is a pragmatic solution that has given a strong return on investment.

Getting Promotions! Getting a promotion at work can be an exciting goal to work towards! Here are a few tips to increase your chances: 1. My 5 Gold medals: 1) Getting in Copenhagen Business School 2) My internship spot at Novo Nordisk 3) Being offered a job at Google 4) Playing rugby for Denmark 5) Being promoted at Uber But as I didn’t feel good enough without them… I never felt good enough with them. Attaching your self-worth to achievements is a dangerous game. One that will leave you feeling empty, lonely and unfulfilled. Remember: Being enough doesn’t mean losing ambition. It means having strong roots so you can grow and expand from a stable place.
