College Application Week is on, from the College Foundation of North Carolina (CFNC)! Now through Oct. 27, many North Carolina colleges and universities are waiving application fees. We're counting down each day of College Week with fun facts and neat numbers. It’s day four of our countdown. Here are four ways Crosby Scholars of Iredell County helps students - and these offerings are all FREE of charge: 1. Career Exploration - Students are exposed to a variety of real-life careers and learn about the education needed to make those careers a reality. 2. ACT/SAT Prep - Our sessions have been rated better than many of the paid services that are offered. 3. Academic and Life Skills Sessions - Younger students, in particular, are given academic tips, tricks, and behaviors for success in school. 4. Scholarships and Grants - Our staff provides guidance, resources and help to reduce or eliminate college debt. Learn more at https://lnkd.in/eZFKn3qV

Well done Grace Edge & the Recognition of Prior Learning team. Tune in tonight to #RTENationwide on RTÉ One at 7pm. See first-hand the impact of RPL and access pathways to higher level education can have. Recognition of prior learning (RPL) is a higher education assessment process that allows individuals who may not meet traditional entry criteria to have the opportunity to access a range of educational courses. RLP acknowledges the skills people have gained outside formal education settings – through work experiences, training, volunteering or in daily life. At the TU Dublin Enterprise Academy we are pioneering innovative approaches to talent development for workplace learners. We co-develop accredited educational solutions of which #RPL is one, to boost #lifelonglearning in the workforce. We engage directly with employers of scale, with Skillnet Ireland sectoral business networks, and with trade and industry representative bodies to support multiple access pathways to higher level education for experienced learners across multiple sectors. #HCIPillar3 #workplacelearners #talentdevelopment
🎥 Sneak Peek! 🎥 We're excited to share a preview of tonight's Nationwide episode on RTE One, featuring Recognition of Prior Learning #RPL and the inspiring stories of two learners from Dublin City University and Maynooth University. 📅 Tune in to Nationwide on RTÉ One this evening at 7pm to hear their full stories.
